Your favorite car vac?
I use the 18V Cordless 1/2 Gallon Wet/Dry Portable Vac. Its hose disconnects for the harder to reach places, and it being cordless means I use it more often. I also have a small 5.5hp Shop-vac for everything else.
yah, these sears shop vac are like getting a color inkjet printer. the printer might be cheap but the ink cartridges are expensive.
the options/accessories costs about or more than my vac.
a few years ago i paid like $35 for my 5 gallon and got like $35+ worth of accessories... diffuser (muffler), blower adapter, narrow area adapter.

I use one of the orange Home Depot shop vacs and it gets used for commercial use(about 20-50 cars/vans per day). Works as well as any high cost brand I've ever used. Accessories are inexpensive, the vac itself is inexpensive, and the filters are not only inexpensive but washable and reusable.
I've got a 3.5HP Craftsman, it's ok, but I wish I could get small attachments to get in nooks and crannies. What do you use?
I just bought the Black n Decker "Black & Decker PAV1200W 12-Volt Cyclonic-Action Automotive Pivoting-Nose Handheld Vacuum Cleaner" (amazon link) and I have to agree with their reviews -- it seems to be fantastic for the task! 12v wired, no wireless weak vacuum here.
