101 Uses for Prima Slick

Ok, gang... here's a challenge for you!

Through the years here on NAM we've heard zillions of uses for Prima Slick. As I was using Slick to clean my sunglasses yesterday I thought it would be fun to collect all of the Slick usage feedback on one single thread.

Try to keep it at least a little serious. (don't worry... I know it won't stay THAT serious with this crowd! )

I'll start with a few of my favorites...
  • To quick detail my paint! (had to start with the obvious and primary use, of course!!)
  • To clean my windshield, especially on road trips
  • To clean/fill/protect my eyeglasses and sunglasses
  • To wipe down stainless and black kitchen appliances
Ok, your turn!

Can we get to 101 uses for Slick??

Yah, i use Slick as my favorite tool to do below tasks:

1) Bird crap removal. nothing works better... in the sun even.

2) Wheel cleaning. absolutely powerful lifting and teflon-like coating.

3) I also QD all my tools with this stuff (spray into towel then wipe) and then use a fresh cloth with a light coat of WD40 once every year before winter storage. on the tool, not the Slick bottle! heavily oiled tools i use some brake fluid cleaner/RC car motor spray, then Slick.

4) Cleaning the engine room. especially if it's just dust and light soil this stuff ROCKS!

5) Wasteful, but excellent clay lube. even mix 50/50 with water.

6) I use it to clean my stereo/music gear with this stuff on occasion. Although Clarity works better in that department.

there are more but my wife's calling...

your turn.

Cleaning my BLACK bathroom sink which tends to turn white from soap and toothpaste residue. Cleans it up and helps repel new white marks, too!

Every Netflix DVD gets a Slick down before play. (It's amazing what passes through Netflix QC-Yeah right!...QC)

I haven't found anything better than Slick for detailing and final coat for my electric bass guitars. Nothing put out by the instrument industry comes close!

Cool! I haven't heard that one before. I have a friend who plays guitar... I'll have to tell him.

Thanks for sharing the idea.

Bicycle Cleaner

I use Slick as my primary cleaner for my road bike frame. Typically the road bike stays pretty clean - just dust and the occasional grease stain. Slick takes it all away and makes it super easy to keep it nice and sparkly!

oh yah, i used slick to check where liquid drains from my engine bay... that green color is easy to trace. i accidentally overfilled the brake reso a while ago (sneezed while i was pouring ) and used slick to see where the
fluid spilled out to do a complete wipe down.

Slick contains a mild cleaner to help break the bond between any dust and your paint. It also contains a lubricant to help prevent scratching and a special type of polymer to add shine and extreme slickness. All of these chemicals together make it an excellent quick detailer but also a great glass cleaner (and cleaner of many other things, as this thread describes! )
