I've got a 2009 JCW w/ a couple of thousand miles on it. Some !#%&? had to cut me off and sent a piece of road debris onto my hood.
I'm extremely OCD and tried to touch up the paint chip myself, but the paint pen shot a glob out the end and by the time I got it off it etched into the clearcoat.
So, I take it to my local detailer to buff out and now it really looks bad.
Finally, I'm taking it to a highend paint and body shop to have them redo the area and buff out the entire hood.
How long do I need to wait after painting the hood to install a complete clear bra on the entire surface of the hood. I don't want anymore chips on this car.
Thanks

if they can remove the bonnet and bake it you can install it right after.
but typically i'd wait a good few weeks before applying it cause the
paint needs to vent out to fully cure.

I figured that I wouldn't want them to completely remove the hood, but you might have something there.
Thanks for the reply.
