question for the masses

Ok, so during this long weekend I went to Virginia but I left my mini in a parking lot in NH. I know, I know not the best place to leave him but its the only option I had. Anyways, I got back to my car last night and noticed a substance in a fine mist all over the car. It is kinda sticky, but washer fluid and wipers got it off of the windshield. The only thing I can think it is is tree sap, but I have never seen it in a mist like this. But if it is, what is the best way to clean it? Will a simple wash get rid of it? Thanks for any help.

I seem to recall encountering something like you describe a bunch of years back, and was able to get it all off, with a normal washing (with warm water).

I don't know if I qualify as representing the "masses", but I would try washing your car with Prima Mystique. Around here the tree sap appears to have been misted on cars and really is a simple sugar dissolvable in water. Give her a good shampoo with Mystique and she will dazzle once more.
