Lazy man's wax?
Just to throw in my two cents on the topic. I use a dry application of Hydro as my lazy man's wax. I apply Epic twice a year, and do a dry application of Hydro every 2 weeks to keep the Mini looking good. Since Hydro does not negatively effect trim or glass, it's ok to move quickly, and not worry about possible over spray. Plus, it looks great on roof decals.
Out of curiosity, is it really difficult to use epic? if it can get on the trim and it lasts a long time, then what is the difficulty? I read on detailers paradise that epic has to cure for 30 to 45 minutes. What is the realistic danger of flying sh%t getting on the semi wet wax and scratching the paint? I don't have a garage, so I have to work outside in the lovely scorching humidity. Can epic be applied in direct sunlight?
So far I think I will go with epic and hydro...I like the idea of the banana gloss, but I would prefer something a little tougher.

I've never had an issue with Zaino and my trim. It works best when applied by hand, so I avoid the trim to begin with, but I am a little sloppy and it's never left white marks. Zaino goes on so thin that I find a coat nearly dry on the bonnet by the time I'm done with the boot. May vary in Florida humidity, of course, but it can get sticky up here, too.
The best defense is a good offense though - Black Wow the trim first, and nothing will stick to it even if you do slop something over it.
Also, to avoid crap flying into drying wax and damaging, use a thin coat #1, and #2 use a quality microfiber to buff it off. I <3 DP's platinum ones - one side is great for buffing, the other great for QDing, which is what I need for one coat of Zaino (x3).

I used Banana Gas, now Banana Gloss, during the test period and found it to be about as idiot-proof as it gets. I put it through its paces, using it on all exterior surfaces, including the windows and trim. That, paired with Hydro, will be my regiment when the product is released.
I have even used it on our mini-van and it made a huge improvement. (Well it is still a mini-van so not really that much of an improvement
)

Getting Epic on trim is not that big a deal to deal with. If you apply Black Wow first, you will have no issues. If you do get the odd stain here and there, Black Wow will get rid of it. I have had a bottle of BW since I got it at the Dragon last spring, and I still have over 1/2 a bottle left. I have treated over 15 cars with it so far, plus our 2 MINIs several times, it goes a long way.
I deliberately put Banana Gas/Gloss on the trim, and there was no staining. I also used it this spring on my windshield before we drove down to the Dragon. We motored through some major monsoon rains on the way, after a couple of hundred miles of bugs first, and it worked great.

It worked very well, no chatter of the blades, bugs did not stick, and rain pretty much just ran off the glass. But then I have been waxing my windseilds for years, using all kinds of wax.
