Watch where you sit!
Watch where you sit!
I live in an apt. and so have no real place to wash a car, so I took MINI to the car wash for a rinse before bringing it home to clean it properly. While at the car wash I sat on a green chair which evidently had green gum on it!
Unknowingly I got back into my MINI drove home where I finally noticed gum all over the leather seat!
I cleaned it up pretty good with some Meguires leather cleaning spray, but there is still some shiny residue on the seat. I have Gravity Tuscan Leather and am worried that dirt is going show or that the residue will prematurely wear the leather.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. We are new to MINI and I tried to use the search feature and did not find anything relevant.
Thanks!

First, try these suggestions where they won't show to make sure they won't stain the leather.
Goo Gone will get rid of most sticky stuff, as will WD-40. Neither should stain, but I would still try somewhere out of sight first, like under the front edge of the seats.
