Ok so hoping the answer isn't---"It Depends"....lol...but if a person were to use Amigo after Epic--yes I know it's backwards---would they be removing the Epic or adding to it because of the polymers in Amigo?

Assuming Epic is being removed due to polishing, then if Amigo were applied by hand over Epic, would that make any difference?

Thanks for all the detailed info Heather!

So if I choose to use Amigo on my roof would I use a white pad (I'll be doing it by hand) and remove with a starfish mitt?

OK, now I am truly confused. All these instructions and still no mention of beverages. I see alcohol being mentioned, but it seems to be the Not for Consumption variety. Obviously, I have this detailing process all screwed up. And my last step, "stumble back and admire your work," must be really out of place.

If you're gonna drink, don't detail. If you're gonna detail, don't drink.
Waking up the next morning to find your brilliant alcohol induced idea of mixing all your polishes, waxes and soaps together to get the job done all in one shot proved a little less than stunning is a major bummer.

By the way, wiping down the car with Spring Bock is counterproductive.

Oh wait you mean I'm supposed to waste all the alcohol spritzing to remove the Epic?

The color-system pads that you see mentioned all over this forum refer to polisher pads (often the Lake Country manufactured pads). So, you would only use a so-called white pad if you were not doing it by hand but with a polisher instead. (unless, of course, your hand applicator pad just happens to be white!)

You can apply Amigo by hand with just about anything... a microfiber covered sponge applicator (ie, Skinny App), a cotton covered sponge applicator, even a folded up piece of microfiber.

Yes, you would remove it with any kind of plush buffing microfiber, such as the Starfish Mitt.

yah, i always thought amigo was like the last cleaning/filling step just
before putting your wax on.

meaning, it would remove the last of the wax from your previous
app during this step given that the polishes have not removed them
already.
