I'm beginning to think this stuff's defective. Every time I wash & Hydro, it rains.

Yeah, but this way you get to see all the nice beading.

I find I have to turn my wool mitts inside out after they've been drying for a day to get the inside dry. Otherwise they never seem to dry out fully. Sort of like my hockey gloves (which can't be turned inside out). Those things are fun-kay!

So is it a good idea to give your skinny app pads a pre-wash before you use them? I prewashed all the towels, but I didn't hit the pads. I'm hoping to do my first Epic application some time this month.

True. I always try to see if I can go fast enough to blow all the beads off before I park.

Okay. Here's a question: Does a wool mitt itch?

It's not wool on the inside. It looks like it's actual sheepskin, which is kind of creepy, but I try not to think about it too much.

Washing once a week, my mitt has never fully dried (and I hope it never does).

I just tossed them into the same load as my first wash of microfiber so I never saw lint, but I guess other have that failed to wash first. Might as well wash it.

I washed my car again on Sunday, simple wash and Hydro dry. Hydro is fun and it smells fantastic.

I used to think it smelled fantastic, until a certain ChiliPepJet ruined it for me.

As a general rule, it's a good idea to wash all new microfiber, including applicator pads, prior to first use.
I wouldn't say it's absolutely essential but it's a good idea.

Some batches of microfiber come from the factory with a small amount of factory lint. We pride ourselves in making sure the microfiber we sell you is in tip-top shape. However, we also don't think you want us to pre-wash all of it... who wants something that's already "used"?? ...which is how I think it would look if we pre-washed them for you.

So, it's not the end of the world if you don't pre-wash your microfiber but if you don't you may have some factory-sourced lint on your MF that you have to deal with.

I did not wash one of the Monster Fluffies I got on my last DP order, not sure why not, but it did leave some lint, unlike the ones I had washed, which left no lint

LOL. Don't like the idea of sticking your hand into a sheep? Just be sure to wear pants when you are detailing.

(in reply to "It's not wool on the inside. It looks like it's actual sheepskin, which is kind of creepy, but I try not to think about it too much". from Modnar.)

I'm not really sure what pants have to do with anything, but I was in a fraternity in college, so I've had to experience much worse...
