Cord length on buffers?
Cord length on buffers?
I am debating over the choice between a PC 7336SP and a 7424HD. Do those of you that use the 7336SP find the 10 foot cord to short?
The 7424HD http://www.autogeek.net/poca74hdpl.html has a 16ga 25 foot cord (heaver wire and longer length). This seems like a good thing to me.
Any comments? I need to order a buffer & pads ASAP.

If you do use an extension cord, make sure it can handle at least 13 amps. I use 15 amp contractor cords on all my power tools. Nothing will wear out tool motors faster than using under rated extension cords. NEVER use an extension cord on an air compressor, use more air hose to reach the work area.

I use and sell the 7424. Mine don't have 25' cords though, atleast I don't think so, but I use extension cables anyways. You can always wire in any length of cord--using 2 conductor cable from the hardware store that are sold by the foot. Another option is to get a extension cordreel from Harbor Freight, and wire the PC into it and have a cord that has it's own reel. =)
