The paint just arrived by UPS ground the other day...I wanna say the 21st. So now it's in my garage but I'm in Wisconsin so I won't get to work it out for a few more days.

I'm excited though. I gotta go to Home Depot and pick up a new Dremel head and some sandpaper.

So I hunted around for the Dupli-color silver frost metallic paint in brush-on form - looks like Dupli-color only does spray in this color code. So I did a little detective work and turns out that's a Nissan color - was on the 1990 model pulsars and some trucks. So you can go to paintscratch.com or your other favorite touch-up paint vendor and put in 1990 Nissan Pulsar and pick paint code 549 Silver Frost Metallic CC and voila...

So I ordered a 1oz bottle from paintscratch.com - I'll post after I try it if it's a good match...

ML - did you ever get your wheel repair done?

No, I still have not. I had some decent weather days last week but my mother was here the entire time. I actually want to sell these wheels, and I know they probably won't go til the spring anyway, so I think for now I am waiting until the spring or a nice break in the weather.

If you want to brush the spray on, just spray it into a jar, and use a brush from there.

Hahah I had to do that to mix up a custom Duplicolor for my brake calipers--works great. Use a baby food jar and it'll keep for a long time. =)

Last time I was in Mexico I saw a lot of youths doing this trick into a paper bag - very sad.
