Must be winter, quiet here

What's all the rattling sounds in the video? I know that my MINI is very stiff and all the interior body panels creak on every bump as does my fire extinguisher..these sounds seems to get amplified on videos. Just curious what we are hearing in yours? Car sounds great! The "head" is the last great hurdle for me!! But I'm still having issues that more power won't solve...axel popping out, header flex joints, major rattling at idle, presumable the heatshield and the newly welded flex joint.....

Drew - I'd love to see your antenna mounts. Though I'm probably gonna need something different on the cabrio. I have a SWR meter to get my stuff tuned up whenever I get properly motivated to rework my whip mount.
I usually run with no mic on the CB, just to listen to chatter - for the Cobra 19 I had to rig a plug as a "mic eliminator" because otherwise it won't work without a mic.

Hopefully the snow was white enough tonight that you can see the antenna.

Where the cross hatch is unscrews, so that's the part I separate for pulling into the garage at night; I can open the boot with everything attached though. It'd definitely work on the Cabrio.
CB antenna is the one on the left here...

And because it is NMO I could screw it onto the roof here if I wasn't running a HAM radio (that's due to be replaced by a commercial grade GMRS rig so leading runs in the mountains this summer I'll still have an easy 5+ miles range talking to the bubble back FRS/GMRS radios)

That's *really* nice - mounts to the edge of the boot door - yes? So it flips up over the roof when you open the boot.
I wish I could use that style mount... but the boot on the cabrio opens the wrong way.
So I need to fab something up that either mounts to the body inside the side of the boot opening, or that mounts to the bumper and comes out between the bumper cover and the body panel.
I've thought about getting a better GMRS rig also... but have decided that Darwinism works better on the drives I lead if I use crappy radios.

Yeah I need to get a photo of the side of the car with the antenna on and boot open, it gives Pearl a real insect look.

Yeah I've got a portable GMRS that's putting out an actual 4watts and external antenna capable, but on our last run in the fall we turned so quick we lost a Pantera on the other side of the mountain by about 7 miles, which added a good chunk of time to the run finding everyone again, and then almost lost an S2000 down the hill to a spin where there was no guard rails; and since I've got the ability license and knowledge it only seems to make sense to be able put 40watts out of a decent gain antenna.
I need to find a good set of H7s, blew out both low beams last night, swapped the high beams in as a band aid, while I was doing so in a parking lot a Prius came over to see if I needed help:
"Do you need help?"
"No the bulbs blew out and I'm swapping them so I don't get a ticke tont he way home"
"Wow, good idea!"

Back to detailing... I gotta do some. Ran up to DC and back between snowstorms this week. Car is insanely nasty from hundreds of miles of salted roads.
I know... I'm a whiner. You guys who live in northern and mountain climes put up with that crap all winter. It would drive me nuts. Blimey's supposed to be clean.
