I checked the weather for the next 10 days, and I think I'm going to change my tires from my winter WRG2s to the Tri-season Nokian Vees. What would you call a tire that excels in all temps wet or dry minus snow & ice?
Every other tire, all-seasons, do in in fact do it all, but not one thing very well. So that is hardly excelling in all temps, wet or dry. Winters can take snow and ice, but not handle dry or hot weather so well. Most summer tires do not like rain or temps below 40ºF.
My Nokians are like ultra high performance summer tires that can take below freezing temps without issues, and can hit standing water and not hydroplane. They hold the road better, grip better, and stop better than any other tire I've had. I've even auto-crossed on them and came out similar to other MINIs with slicks. But being in SM, I ended near the bottom of my class.
so im on a trend. i saved the house like $150 for changing the ballast on my own in the kitchen the other week.
i also saved the house like $50 on fixing the drainage... ok, so i used Draino.
i also saved the house like $250 for doing some furnace work.
this am, i saved the house another $19.99 for reconditioning the nicad battery inside my shaver so it can recharge again... (didnt have to buy a new shaver).
I picked up my summer wheels a couple of days ago with my new Bridgestone RE-11's installed. Seems like you could drive on a wall with these, they're so sticky. Can't wait for it to warm up a bit. May wear the new off them next weekend.
