Amigo or skip for 1-year-old?

[Thanks everyone for the inputs - Foamy's big Amigo/Epic day is tomorrow!]

Foamy is 15 months old, with no scratches or swirls.

Any views on whether I should do Amigo for its cleaning & shining properties and nice glaze, or whether I should just get the car super-clean and go straight to Epic? I like Amigo's glaze, but aren't sure whether I want to polish off even a few angstroms of clear-coat on what looks like a new car.

I used Amigo on the wife's 6-year-old black Volvo S60 a month ago, and the surface is still frictionless. Any dust vanishes on the first pass with the duster-brush. Good stuff.

Thanks for any thoughts, --doug

If you are sure you have NO swirls or spiderwebbing, then it's up to you. I would probably do it anyway, but that's me.

yah, if i had Amigo, i would probably use it anyways to clean the
surface of any micro level contaminants and any imperfections.

CR&PW did his Amigo prior to Epic and it looked real nice.

It takes no time really to add the Amigo step so you should do it. Easy on and easy off. Besides being a filler to hide any small imperfections (You must have the only swirl free MINI in the world BTW - but cheers to that), Amigo also enhances the bonding of Epic to your paint. If you got it, flaunt it!

If you have a PC, Amigo ROCKS - Blimey had very few swirls before my last Epic - most were on the boot so I used Swirl there, then I Amigo'd everything. The panels that I used Amigo on were MIRROR smooth when done...

Really brings out more depth than just Epic alone, IMHO.
