humm... true. it should also come with disposable towels that will
be used to remove the bird crap and also more disposable towels.

come to think of it, it should also come with a hand washing faucet
along with a nice hand soap and paper towels.

then it needs to have a trash can and also trash bags with it.
along with a nice cold drink and a snack.

now the traveler went from $50 to $150. lol

I would like Clarity, Hydro (for dash insert touch-ups), & Slick for bird poop mishaps. It would be killer if it came in a little kit that was big enough to hold the bottles, a monster fluffy, & glass cloth. That way I could toss it in the boot & be ready for anything

If I didn't love my Mini so much, I'd say it was just cheaper to get a new one that the travel size Prima kit at 100K

***Warning***

What you have just witness is another senseless display of thread shift. One poor innocent vendor asked a simple question and it lead to a Land Rover, Robot, and 55 Gallon drum of Hydro strapped to the back of the robot (sorry, hadn't got to the last one yet) stay tuned.

Ken, wouldn't it be cool if the robot had a 55 gallon drum of Hydro strapped to it's back?

(this is what happens when you've finished your projects for the day and your sitting at your desk waiting for 1700 to roll around!)

yah, but that would be too large to fit in my legacy... perhaps i need
to buy a S4 wagon to match the traveler system?

in a nutshell, i think slick and clarity are must-haves with towels,
hydro would be an optional 'nice to have' feature, but not a requirement.

Interesting thread shift.

Being a local, I carry some of the regular spray bottles in the boot. Hydro is my daily norm, but for a travel kit with a DP logo.

Hydro,
Clarity,
Slick
Monster Fluffy
Glass Cloth

Small light and bright colored package would be a hit.

Yeah, I'm in for a travel kit too... right now I carry small spray bottles of Clarity and Slick, but wouldn't mind having Nero and Hydro also. I'd rather have a Platinum instead of a Monster Fluffy though, in the interest of space. I keep mine in one of the little cubbies in the back seat - not that these will only be marketed to MINI owners, but something that would fit just right in that space would be great!

yeh, personally i only use PlatinumMF these days. even during my
last Epic app, i didn't use my monsterMF. really no need unless you're
actually buffing the wax like on carnauba's.

I don't want the kit to actually come with towels included as that would drive the cost up, I just want the travel case to have enough room for one to fit so you can chose whatever towel you want to put in there

OK now for kit#2 idea, don't laugh... I would like a tiny bottle of Clarity & a teeney glass cloth to keep in my desk for cleaning my eyeglasses

Yeah, where do you people put this stuff?? I've got my 2oz bottle of Slick and a MF to fit in with my tools but it barely fits!! I would love to carry a 2oz spray bottle of Clarity and Hydro too!!

Heather, please come up with a small tote that can carry 3-4 2oz bottles.

You're the best!!

a tote would be a great idea. the ones with automotive velco on
one side so it can stick anywhere in the boot where it has carpeting.

my G35C came with a little handy bag like that and it's
EXCELLENT!
i put my small bottles of QD and PlatinumMF towels in there along with
spacer adapter sockets, small tools, etc.

My solution: A cosmetic case. Mine currently holds a glass towel, Monster Fluffy, crappy mf towel, 2oz spray bottle of Clarity, 2oz spray bottle of water, and a (currently empty) 2oz spray bottle of Slick.

Now THAT is a great way to do it... we're finding it harder than one would think to make this kit ideal yet not too expensive (although I do like Ken and c_tex's BIG ideas too! ) I like your concept of building in flexibility for users to put whatever they want in it, in addition to the travel size bottles.

We've been thinking that the cloth space should accommodate at least a Platinum and possibly a Platinum plus a Glass Cloth.

We've actually been working on this one already! (it's one of those projects we started when Clarity first came out and we're STILL working on it... if only I didn't have this pesky NAM forum that keeps distracting me! )

Thanks for the great idea, bamatt! Thanks to everyone else for the other ideas and feedback too! You guys are a great marketing department!

I wouldn't mind spending a little more upfront to get a nice kit. Then I could refill my small bottles using my large bottles or gallons. When the small bottles wear out you could offer them individually & we could keep our kits up to date that way instead of having to buy a whole new kit as stuff wears out

OMG there is a swanky "platinum" glass cloth & here I have been using the lowrent "regular" glass cloth all this time

im sure there are also those that just want the neat little bottles for
their collection. so might be great to have:

option1: bottles only with product inside. (3 bottles) $11.99
option2: option1 + nice carrying case and towels. $29.99

how's that? stocking stuffer, realistic prices(?)

I bet even though the spray bottles are small they still cost almost as much as a big bottle (talking bottle only not product). I would be willing to go $45-$50 for the carrying case if it includes towels but I still would rather no towels be included (just let the case have room for towels of choice) to keep the price down. I mean most of us already have plenty-o-towels & we all want different towels in the case

No, no, no, silly bamatt... the Platinum is a buffing cloth (the gray one) and the Glass Cloth is just a glass cloth. Two different cloths...

bamatt- you think? i think the little bottles are about $1 and with putting the
new labels on, around $1.25- $1.35.

the labor costs the most, to pour product into the bottles
and packaging them.

i dont think people will pay $50 for a traveler kit... (?) well, we might,
but in general..unless it comes with an illumination system.

I would support the decision in general. A big problem I have is I buy a lot of products to try, and they barely get used then sit on the shelf, or they just don't get used often and last me years. A smaller 4oz size at a slightly less price would be nice when I want to try out a product.

As for actual travel, I bought your empty bottles and fill them from the bigger bottles...that's how Clarity is always kept in my mini! (Now that I mention that, I have to remember to remove it before temps get below freezing)
