How long does Epic last?
I expected, when I applied my original 2 coats of Epic at the end of February, to be having to redo it by now, 6 months later. I have been using Hydro since MOTD5 in May. My car still beads water like crazy and is very shiny.
How do I know when it should be stripped and redone?

Adding Hydro consistently as you do basically reapplies a similar form of Epic. So, essentially, by adding Hydro you are prolonging "Epic" indefinitely. It's likely that your shine and beading is really from just Hydro at this point.
Now, the reality is that Epic is the stronger version of Hydro so, especially in harsh climates, you should reapply Epic every 5-6 months, on average, for full protection.
Or, if you're fine with the level of protection that Hydro provides (which is adequate for most climates and situation when used regularly), then just keep using Hydro until you're ready to do something like clay and/or polish your car again. Then, at that time, finish with an app of Epic. You could go about it in various ways depending on your protective comfort level and preference.

UPDATE!!
3 hours after buffing the dry powder off.... something has transpired!
the green is showing more and more! It is the greenest the car has ever been! damn. I cant imagine what it will be like in the sun tomorrow, and then over the weekend with Mystique and hydro.

I'm glad to hear that you are already enjoying Epic!

I am about to use the stuff. I am curious, what made you put two coats on?
I am trying to understand why people are putting two coats on. ....
I understood that it only needed one, now 80% of the people on here use two. The process is really long and I have to keep it in a garage for a full 24 hours and then hit it again. That might not be feasible.
Also, I wonder about making perfect prep surface the first time, and then not having it perfect the 2nd time. It will only be washed the 2nd time. I have a lot of crap around here on Long Island that causes me to claybar 4-5 times a year.
How does claybarring effect epic? I would ideally want to do it a week later when I had time. 2 days of coating just doesnt sound feasible.

Yes, you only *need* one coat of Epic. The only time we recommend two coats is if someone isn't sure (or just wants to make sure) that they did not miss a spot. So, the idea is that it's highly unlikely that you'll miss the same wee spot twice. Other than that though, there is no advantage to doing 2 coats of Epic.
Between coats, or between an app of Epic and using Hydro, you should wait for 24 hours (this is the cure time) to use any detergents on the car. In other words, just don't wash the car during this time. Anything else is fine... sunlight, rain, etc. during this 24 hour waiting time.
If you keep your MINI garaged between coats, should you decide to do two coats in the future, you can usually just dust it with a duster after the 24 hour wait time and then do the second coat.
In most cases, clay will remove all or much of any wax. As a rule of thumb, we recommend that you just assume that you're removing all of your wax when you clay. That may not be the case fully and every time, but it's better to err in that direction anyway.

I think I have been hydro'ing too much. I have to get a gallon of this stuff I think. It is very nice stuff that leaves an awesome shine/sheen.
DP was really nice and gave me a free waffle weave cloth with my last order. Nick noticed I was debating about what to afford or not to. Really nice of him. I can say that with the Waffleweave cloth, I can actually dry the car while Hydro'ing now. It makes the process faster, and dries better.
I actually do not mind washing the car twice a week when I have the time and it is so nice out like it has been in on Long Island.
