Turtle Wax ICE

This stuff is good I picked a bottle up from Autozone yesterday for about 13 bucks. That my seem expensive but it is worth every penny. It comes with an aplicator and terry cloth to wipe when dry. The finish that was left with is as good if not better then anytime i have waxed my car using a buffer. TW Ice leaves NO residue and i works just as well on the trim. Thats what sold me on it to begin with, The trim looks better then when i baught my car

All in all its the first car care product that i purchased that i have no issues with. This stuff is great!.

i heard good stuff about it. but many have said that it doesnt last that long.
i guess that's the price you pay to have a clean and easy application.
i think i'll try using some that my friend bought a while ago. gonna go mooch off him.

I used on my 2003 land rover, and it looked ok. I then tried it on my wifes 2006 Volvo XC90, and it looked incredible. The car kept a "wet" look to it, until she drove through some mud puddles.

Husband's been using the Ice on his GT500 since it's delivery last December and still loves it. No white chalky mess to clean up around the stripes.

Upon the Mini's arrival last Tuesday he did a little clay bar treatment, paint protector of some sort, than Iced it over the weekend. Looks nice!

I liked Ice, too - when I was using it, I pretty much applied it monthly with good results (and it IS easy to use...)

Then I tried Epic. Then I tried Hydro.

I now Hydro every time I wash - it's just as easy as drying without Hydro... and it makes the car look great. And it's kept my Epic treatment lasting a LONGGGGGG time - 8 months and counting... (but about time for a full detail...)

What buffer were you using? Because any two handed buffer won't do anything for your paint but allow you to wax faster than by hand. It wouldn't affect the quality or look other than maybe allowing you to apply a thin coat.

Glad you found a product that works for you. Regardless of how long it lasts, just keep using it until you are ready to try something better. There will ALWAYS be that "something".

Actually, that doesn't give me any more information, but thanks.

You imply in your post that applying a wax with a "buffer" somehow didn't look as good as when you applied Ice, presumably by hand.

For the newbies around here, an orbital buffer won't make your wax job look better. But use a good orbital buffer to polish paint and that's where you will see the biggest improvement at the wax stage, but unless you are using a variable speed dual action orbital polisher like the PC, a normal two handed single speed buffer isn't going to do much to improve the look.

Just wanted that to be clear.

Hydro will kick Ice's butt. why even use Ice when you can get
better results by using a wax as you dry product like Hydro and
have extended durability?

the only tool you need is a drying MF towel. no RO needed.
waxing is so early 2007's. outdated.

I can not wait to use Hydro some day. The crappy part is you have to order it. I picked up a bottle of ice detailing spray. It works really well, but I can only imagine what Hydro can do.

wash) it has a super nice shell.

i even Hydro my plastic bits to nurish. oh wait, that's another product
name.

I saw this ICE you speak of at Costco, in the typical Costco sizes and prices. Although curious, I placed my DP order (with lots of nice Prima goodies to try out) just in time to use my NAM calendar discount.

I may use my old car care products on the lonely big tree SUV that sits in the corner by the garage these days.

Tymon, I think we ended the drought with our car purchases!

FWIW, I bought a jug from Costco before AMVIV, and will be doing "performance" comparison tests on it.
