2006 Porsche Cayman S Restored with Swirl!
Thats nasty and weird. Your not supposed to use the key to open the door, just the fob. Hmm
Great job! That paint looks metallic and does not look like the true black. I think its basalt metallic. I gotta remember never to get a black car

OG- dont tell me you removed the driver side tail light... if you did, you
or your employee probably didnt put it back together correctly cause the
passenger side tailight fitment to quarter looks just about perfect (as i
remember seeing it on other cayman's).

Remember this car was preowned. Apparently the original owner was a Chinese girl dating some rockstar--as I was told by the owner. He bought this car from the Porsche dealership 3 months ago in this condition.
Yep, it's not black. I forgot the name--but it looks grey, and blue metallic in different light.
I still don't understand what you are looking at, but nothing was removed or reassembled by me or Jay....oooh wait a minute, well the drivers side taillight was removed by the PDR guy trying to see if he could gain access to remove that dent--which he couldn't--his boss said he would have to do a glue pull PDR technique but the guy who came out wasn't equipped to do that on this car.
Are you talking about this picture??

Seriously, I thought I'd never get another black or dark colored car yet somehow lately my SO and I have mulled over a few
I'm a bit scared of the prospect and will clearly have to let you know if we bite that bullet
Ok, I still don't understand what you're looking at.
There are two pix here of the tail light--cropped from the pictures with similar angles. Please tell me again how the lights are different???
Before working on car

After working (and PDR guy)

Seems strange we are talking so much indepth about this, but looking at the two before and after pix I posted, I don't see any difference. Maybe you can elaborate based on those pictures--or maybe the reason I don't see a difference is because there isn't any--and that's just the way the car came?

Yup Atlas Grey, not my favorite color. Basalt is even darker, this is lighter depending upon the lighting
That thing in the pic is where the rock star stashed his empty beer bottles

i get it now.

Octane, I like what you have done to show the swirls, etc. and how to get rid of them. I gave you a plug on a p-car board.
Great work
Coool! Thanks!!
