Is Hydro compatible with Zaino?

Has anyone used hydro with Zaino? My MINI is a daily driver and I don't often get the time to give it the all the detailing I want. All the raves over Hydro got me wondering if using Hydro after the occasional wash would keep the shine going. And when I get the time for more Zaino application will having used Hydro be a problem?

I had this same question since I use Zaino but wanted to try out Hydro for its ease of use and all the hype on this forum about it. So I did...I've been using it for the past 2 months and am very happy with the results. Car looks awesome!

I don't know that you could go back and put more coats of Z2 on it and it'll bond. I'm just planning on using a paint cleaner when I want to do Zaino all over again, but my MINI is also a daily driver and Hydro makes it look so good and it's so easy to use that I might just stick to Hydro for a while longer and do Zaino like 2 a year.

I asked Heather this before, and the answer is yes.

As for applying over hydro, you might want to be sure the hydro has gone away before applying a good wax (zaino, epic, or any of them), so wait a few weeks, or use a paint cleanser or polish to start from scratch.

Absolutely!

Yes, Hydro can be used over Zaino. In fact, it can be used over any synthetic wax.

Feel free to Hydro away!

I wonder if zaino Z-AIO will remove any remaining Hydro.....z-aio is zaino's paintcleaner/polish/sealant....and then put the usual Z2 over that

Do you mean if you already have Hydro on your paint and you want to use Z-AIO (and then Z2)?

If so, then I'd say that the Z-AIO will at least wear down the Hydro. If the Hydro is fairly fresh, then less so and if the Hydro has been on there for a bit, then more so and perhaps all the way.

To guarantee removing the Hydro before starting a process like this, I would recommend wiping the paint down with rubbing alcohol (avoid your trim). Otherwise, it's hard to say for sure.
