UUUUggggghhhhh!!!!!

Well, its early this year, but maybe the dry weather earlier got things moving quicker! The Indiana wax ants are flying today for the first time this year! It is an absolute mess to go anywhere in the afternoon or evening. You can tell its the season because the birds are lined up on the phone wires and the bug splats are as big as quarters. The farther you go, the harder it is to see out. And don't even THINK about swishing the washer/wipers! That will get you an even bigger mess!! The only good thing is it doesn't last more than about two weeks, but till its over, just plan on cleaning the windscreen every evening in the garage!

Imagine...some people could care less, but those people are not MINI owners.

You know, maybe it is going to be 117 here this coming week, but I can still wash my car in the shady garage (with the door to the house open & ac blowing in) and we get NO giant bug problems like I read about all the time here in the detailing thread.

So sorry for your pain, but I'll take the heat any day (did I mention it's a dry heat)... you're welcome to visit during big bug season!

My OVEN is "dry heat" too, but that doesn't mean that I want to climb inside it and wash my MINI.

I have visited your lovely part of the country, and I found that the "dry heat" succeeds in drawing every ounce of moisture out of my body in about 11 seconds, flat!! Its still really hot! Seriously though, it would be a good place to visit!
