Heather, your post makes a lot of sense. From my perspective it is a matter of whether Hydro is effective as a stand-alone product, because I am not into spending hours detailing my car. I am also not into spending the time or money on something easy that won't last. For me, it isn't likely I will apply Hydro every month. But, still sounds like it makes sense to use it. Thanks for the info.

i am glad to see my real-world experience being consistent to the
actual goals of the products. this means DP did a great job
designing their products.

i came up with my arguments from actual experience, not from
consulting with heather. i think that's a damn good job by Prima.

LynnEl - FWIW, I only wash Blimey once every 3-4 weeks on average during the non-rainy-season. Otherwise I just dust and quick detail once a week or so. If I happen to get him really dirty (drive through a mudpuddle or something) then that migh precipitate a quick wash. If I run through a bug storm, I'll QD the front end to get them off.

Every time I wash, I dry with Hydro. I literally spend 10 minutes tops drying the car with Hydro. The same amount of time it takes me to dry without... maybe one minute longer. And the results I get are very, very good.

I don't commonly spend hours detailing my car, either. Only very rarely (like prep for an event or something) will I spend more than an hour on the car.

I'd just reinforce - it's not really any extra effort to use Hydro everytime you wash - however often that happens to be.
