[Sat, April 21 10:30-???] at WS Motorcars in Annapolis, MD

I wanted to introduce myself,
My name is Ben Pettis, I have worked as a MINI Sales manager
in the past (2004)and was to person responsible for starting the MINI meet and greet monthly at Tate BMW. I am a huge MINI fanatic and I have started a new shop in Annapolis. We are a proud sponsor of North American Motoring!
We have two Factory trained MINI technicians, Samson and Harry who is a Master tech. Our MINI techs have most likely worked on your car before. We are ready to do everything from routine maintainence (our shop rate is $20 less per hour than the local dealer) to pulleys and coil over suspensions. We do not have dealer restrictions and can do all sorts of performance work!

We are WS Motorcars and those familiar with Annapolis will know our location as the old Land Rover Jaguar building and later the temporary Mercedes building.
We sell european cars as well, we currently have a 1960 mini in our showroom
that has undergone a $20,000 restoration, feel free to stop by!
Thanks,
Ben

I plan on opening my doors to the clubs with tech inspections, a large conference room for meetings, car shows whatever the club needs!
We are happy to help the club!
When you have your car serviced you meet the person working on your car which gives this a personal touch, our techs will know exactly what you want done to your car!

I sent him a message about some future events there. I have a feeling we can get some people over there to see the shop.

We could make it a pirate run if we can find a pie/flat white shop in Annapolis. :-)

Katie, when are you doing the install? I may come by and see the install and check out Ben's place with you all.

I am going to be at her place at 11 am. I think we are going to go up there shortly after I get there and before we install the Hella lights. So we will be doing the install in the afternoon until whenever we get done. Hopefully it won't take too long to do it. You guys should come up and check out the shop with us. And if anyone else is interested in meeting us up there, I can find out an approximate time we will be there and let you all know.

Thanks to all for the warm welcome!
No I will not be able to go to the dragon this year!
Starting a new business takes 9 days a week
Once again I am happy to open my doors to the club,
You can use my store as a starting point for drive, pulley day etc..

I can hopefully be found at Summit Point on a regular basis.
I am an instructor for the BSR FATT program and love going to the track.

If anyone wants to go up to Summit Point I am also running a track day for Boys and Girls clubs on WED april 25th we still have some spots available.
Check on www.colonialchallengecup.com for details!

Everyone.... would we be able to swing by here on this months MBTB run, or make it a start point or something? I haven't looked at the map yet or anything, just wanted to throw that idea out there

From: AHHH!! The Weather...The Beach... The Bikinis!
I visited WS MotorCars this morning and met Sam, Harry, Ben and..... They were great! The facility is huge with at least 6 bays as well as a generous showroom. Toys around the shop and showroom included a 1960 Mini, a Morgan 8, a Lotus, a Mercedes, a questionable dune buggy ( at least thats what they called the pile of parts.) The shop has a large fenced in lot behind it.
Sam very nicely checked my brakes for me and successfully convinced me I need to get my hearing checked (this over fifty stuff sucks).
I was impressed and look forward to taking some work over to them in the future!

Best of luck with the new business!!

btw- Harry's MCSCa shifts so much better than mine... I need to get that dealt with!

We don't have much scheduled in April - I'd suggest after the Tate Breakfast we file over to Ben's and have a session at his new shop.
