If you end up foraging for food, don't forget Townsend, TN. Run the Dragon into Tennessee and hop on the Foothills Parkway. Dead Beat Pete's has reopened under new management. I haven't tried it out since it re-opened but in the past it was most excellent Mexican food, right along side the river in Townsend.

Bamatt, our monthly dinner is Monday so I'll see if they want to do something as well.

As for door prizes. I have some left over Halloween candy.

I make a mean pot of chili so I really don't mind cooking for all of us. Chili is easy. The door prizes will be courtsey of Rocket City Minis

You may be talking about the farewell dinner from last year which was held up in the lodge. The reason for the "second" room then was that the main area wasn't big enough to hold everyone who had signed up. Now that all the dinners are being held in the Adventure Center they could easily hold more than 300 people. (not complaining, merely commenting). (and yes, I do know what I'm talking about as I was one of the welcome/farewell dinner planners from last year).

Since the welcome dinner filled up about the same time that I registered, I don't think that I am in the "GROUP OF 300 CLUB", but I am not really sure. Is there a way to figure this out? I do know that the Thursday night dinner is NOT listed on my invoice, whereas Friday & Saturday dinners are. Can someone who knows they are in check this? See if your invoice lists the Thursday dinner?

Mine shows all 3, so I am going to assume you missed out.

Okay so how many DCMMers - like me - are not going to the welcome dinner because we did not get off our bottoms to buy tickets in time? Enough to book a table somewhere and eat together that night?

Not knowing what the Navy has planned for Paul! in the next few months, we waited a few days too late.

I was talking to a few DCMMers today.. Looks like quite a few didnt get into the 300 club. I would love to get a small group together and have some dinner. Any Ideas?

I'm also just now registering. We'll obviously need to forage too. We're planning to drive down with the Helix rally crowd which means theres a chance we would've missed the dinner anyways. Hey, anyone else planning on that?

We could do down to Sweetwater. That is probalby the closest and cheapest option. I could also be swayed to take Queen B's suggestion and head to Mexican in Towsend. The river is really pretty there.

Did any of you that missed out on the Welcome Dinner, make it to the Dragon Banquet? That is closed as well now.

What I think is ironic is that DCMM did both dinners last year, and this year, most DCMMers won't be @ the dinners this year

I did make in into the Banquet. Bought those right after I realized the Welcome had sold out.....maybe we should all try to get together for breakfast on Sunday?

It is very misleading looking at the event planner. I am glad Jay was on top of our registrations...the event planner leads one to believe that the dinner registration won't be open till the 22 of april???!!!
Or am I reading that wrong
