Need SIRIUS Installed in MCSC-JCW

I just got my hands on a Sirius for my MCSC. I've been told that there is an issue is the antena because its a cabrio, but I know for a fact (and have seen on other threads) that I can simply have it mounted on the dash and with the rag top it will work fine. Problem is - Sterling won't do the install.

Does anyone know of a service center or the like that will do the instal for me? I have the hardware - just need the labor - but I don't want to bring it in just anywhere. Looking for someone in or close to DC and TRUSTED...

Any ideas?

Are you talking about the OEM SIRIUS receiver, or one of the standard models (with its own screen)?

If it is an aftermarket one, the install is pretty easy. I have installed XM in both our vehicles and looks good.

Hmm - that's too bad that Sterling won't help you. You're right that it is absolutely possible... but aside from the antenna issue, you also have the issue of where to mount the receiver, because the boot pockets in the R52s are not the same size as those in the R50/R53. If I'm not mistaken, the OEM SIRIUS receiver won't fit snugly in there.

I would search the forums for "SIRIUS" to find some info from other R52 owners who have done the install before.

Sterling didn't mention the boot issue, just the antena - so hopefully that won't be too much of a problem.

Thanks so much for all the help. I'll get right on it!
