Topless again!

First time I really motored with windows down and sunroof open for any amount of time in my JCW... it sounded nice!
(And led to very nearly getting a speeding ticket due to over-spirited driving... luckily, the detective that pulled me over explained that he had a cousin that was a skipper of a submarine, and since I was coming home from work in uniform, he simply thanked me for serving, and told me slow it down! Whew! )

For all you topless drivers in the DC area: when the roads are wet from melting ice like yesterday, don't you and the interior of your MINI get filthy from the rear-wheels kicking up a mess ? My boot was F I L T H Y when I got home yesterday.
But it was nice to drive with the sunroof open.

Roads were 99% dry here. But yes, some blow in still happens and if the roads were soaked with water and salt I wouldn't have the top down.

I"m just waiting for all the water on the road to kick up and short out my zip-tied-in turn signal on the front of my car or even the headlight. Hopefully that doesn't happen though.

I think I amy wait a little longer for warmer temperatures. Still too cold for me. However, it was nice day to wash the car to get all of the grime and brake dust off the car. I had to take her in on Sunday though.

I keep the top down all year. It is much warmer in the MINI with the top down (windows up, heater on) than it is outside. A good jacket, a good hat, gloves, scarf and lap blanket is all that is needed. The real limitation for me, since I don't have a garage, is a frozen top which I don't want to crank down in the morning.
I haven't had any trouble with spray from the road getting into the interior. Windows up of course.
Keeping the top down all year doesn't have any effect on the joy from the first warm days. It is still a thrill when it warms up!

Yes Marina, that was another thread, if I'm not mistaken that was your reply in the 'What I'm Wearing Now' thread

Including you, one I kid I kid! I actually havn't seen anyone wearing black socks and sandles before, atleast not on purpose (a few years back my friends taking advantage of the sterotype for haloween.) Now sandles, shorts, and TALLLL white socks, totally different story

It's 60 degrees outside today, and I am stuck in an inside office with no windows. I'm just dreaming about putting the top down, playing Smokey Robinson's cruising, and just escaping.......but back to reality, my supervisor just buzzed me.
