Golf anyone?

Just to see if anyone play golf here. I've taken 4 years break due to work and kids. I might be able to squeeze out sometimes this season for some rounds. If interested, let me know.
Also, I plan to go to practice range sometimes soon to be ready for the season to come. (the range is heated, don't worry )

I'd be up for a little golf. I'm not super good on my short game, or my long game, but I'd still be up for some golf

Hmm... golf... no thanks. Never liked the game, to be honest... except the putt-putt/mini-golf variety.

In the interest of not causing an argument, I won't say what I really feel about golf.

I play each chance I get....I didn't say I was good only I play and enjoy the game.

Picked up my first golf club 3 years ago, still have not broken a 100 but I go and have fun.

Great, we've a few that are interested.
Here is a question, if we plan for an outing what will be your favorite course among these golf course:

1. Queentowns harbour GC., Queentowns, MD
2. Reston GC., Reston, VA
3. Swan Point, Issue, MD
4. Penderbrook, Chantilly, VA
5. Virginia Oak, Gainsville, VA
6. Twin Lakes, Clifton, VA
7. Whiskey Creek, Ijamsville, MD

Some of the courses are a little further out, but with nice scenery road though. Good for motoring as well.

Though I used to like golf, and tought it in FL, I am out. Have fun and good luck.

Jeremy, it sounds like you don't play golf, so I would recommend a baseball outing or something other than golf for you.

Oh, no. Don't quit yet. We need an official club instructor. Lets just go out and have fun.

I've been playing off/on for about 5 years, make it out for maybe 2 or 3 rounds a year.

In my early days, before I could get the ball in the air, I hit a goose square in the head, knocked it out cold (I was much younger and convinced I killed it until it got up and stumbled off )

Like I said.

2-3 times a year is not playing golf, it is looking like an idiot with a club in your hand and saying that your handicap is your swing.

If you are going to play, make sure you are in the last group at least.

Have fun!

So I would change the thread to "Lets go chase some *****, anyone?"

I did play a lot here during 80's, and back in Thailand during 90's. I haven't got much chance to play since I have my first child. I miss those day, so I'm thinking its time to clean my clubs, go out and have some fun.

This is great...may be we can try our first outing at Twin Lakes when the season start.
Eventhough its a little far for MD member, but golf and motoring, nothing is too far.
Then we can have the next one in MD.

Clifton Park, MD Its in the ghetto, but the course isnt super duper tough (so the less experienced players will still enjoy themselves) but still challenging enough that the 'ole pros' won't be board. (Its rather cheaper for golf too )

Nice weather. It's golf time, anyone?

Maybe some 9 holes round after work in Rockville, Needwood GC's executive course?
Or take an afternoon off for an afternoon round, after 2pm, at Reston National GC.

Now it makes sense that I always see a MINI there.

I play at Twin Lakes pretty regularly if anyone is looking for someone to play with.

I also play at Fairfax National, Blue Mash, and Falls Road.

I'd stay away from Penderbrooke because the course has always been in pretty bad shape when I played there last year.

Great, I will check around to find some good rates for good courses in our area. Any suggestion would be great.

They say this coming Monday (5/21) will be really nice, sunny and high around 70's.
A perfect day for golf.

Does anyone interest in a pm round of golf, either 9 or 18 holes would be fine with me.

If we play 18, the tee time will be at 3pm. If we play only 9, we can start at 5 or a little later.

Falls Road GC, Potomac, Md. is probably good for our first outing, since it's not far from MD, NoVA and DC line.

Let me know, if anyone wanna join. I'll reserve the tee time tomorrow.

I am HORRIBLE at golf, but I love playing it, my favorite sport to participate in! I've only broken 100 twice in my 4 years of playing. I usually shoot around 110. But I would definitely be up for playing sometime.

Seems like Monday will not be good for my schedule. Something just comes up.

By the way, Tuesday looks good to me. Do you want to play for a round?
Which course is close to you during the day. I will be available after 3pm. Please let me know.

The company I work for pays for me to play in a golf league... I still suck! But I have a lot of fun...

I would love to play but the late tee time will interfere with me picking up my daughter at Dulles...

Early tee time and I'm in for Monday... Tues after 3 also works for me... Let me know...

I have to check my schedule to see if I will be available for early tee time next week.
I will let you know.
Actually, we can play at Reston National. It is not far from Dulles.
