My understanding is no. We're looking for a better maintained place to go, ideally still close to 495 so that Marylanders aren't as freaked about the drive.
My coworker is an avid bowler (leagues) and probably knows most of the venues here in Northern VA. She is out of town until tomorrow though. I plan on asking her for her advice on a good place to go.

Cosmic Bowling begins at 10pm, so we will schedule it for that start time.
Pricing: $5.25 person/game. $3.40 for shoe rentals. If we get more than 15 people to bowl, it will be $5 person/game including shoe rental
Jay and I are going to go down there today to seek out a place to eat some chow before we bowl. We are going to plan to get together and eat beforehand at 8pm. Details for chow to come.

Clarification - if we get enough people for the "discount" price, it will include the shoe rental, so there would be more savings than just $0.25 per game.

The cosmic bowling doesn't start until 10pm.
One alternative would be to eat dinner at 7pm, and plan to start bowling at 9pm (with appropriate reserved lanes based upon the RSVP). So it would be "regular" bowling for the first hour then cosmic bowling after that. The first hour would be a form of "warm-up".
Perhaps that would be a suitable alternative? I will say that the alley is very easy to get to (and from), it's right off I-395, one exit up from the Beltway... so Marylanders should have a quick exit out of Virginia when we're done!
Marylanders who are worried about a late night... keep in mind it's Saturday night - no work on Sunday! Come on!

OK So we have decided that beacuse it will be a long late night if we start bowling at 10pm or even 9pm, we are going to go out earlier...
So dinner will be at 7pm at Mango Mikes, see first post. We will then go over and bowl after we conclude dinner. So I hope this is earlier for you folks, and more people will join us!

...if the wife wants to go.
...if I can fit the wife in the Mini still (teehee)
...my Mini still works.
...if I'm not too jet lagged.
...and of course, IF I make it back in time.
I volunteered for an earlier flight than the 2nd, but the way the military works, I could end up getting back after the 2nd in that case. HAH!

We'll have to see... By the time I get home, I'll have been gone more than 3 weeks, when I was only supposed to be gone about 8-9 days. I'm sure she's gotten bigger.
