Don't worry, I am trying to get the events more spread out so than some of the more northern, away from DC, members don't have to always drive far for events.

 

Naw, we just have to schedule the events around Stacey and Jeremy's work schedule so they can always attend

 

I'm in now. ... and still hoping that it stays in Annandale!

...but I won't make a fuss if it doesn't.

 

I ended up getting tied up today. I will go tomorrow and check it out unless someone closer, , would go for me.

 

If you meant me and the Annandale place, please be clear what you want me to check out.

I can't go there tonight (too much going on), but I might be able to go there tomorrow night instead.

Sure, and there is one within walking distance from our house. The point is, is that we are the DC METRO area and are attempting to not be so centralized to one specific area. We did the Fright Night up in your neck of the woods, and are doing the Chirstmas light festival in our neck of the woods, that is two Maryland events...Lets let the NOVA contingent not have to drive so far for an event. So we will keep it in Annandale. If you can't make it that far away, don't come. No one expects everyone to make every event!

 

Ill probably be coming no matter where it is...just a matter of how long ill be staying.

 

We are going to check out the lanes tonight. I imagine we will probably start the party early, so people aren't out too late. Their 'cosmic' bowling begins at 8pm, so we will probably set up the reservation for then

 

Went to the bowling alley tonight. We played 3 games and had technical problems with all games. We had 2 lanes and each lane had a problem with pins not being picked up, getting jammed, and ***** getting stuck in the back and not returning. We/I am going to check out a different bowling alley tomorrow and see if there are a little more "modern" ones in Annandale. If I cannot find any in there, I will move it somewhere in VA. Stay tuned.

 

The "Lanes Test Session" was fun man! For a while there we were hitting serious XXX's! So, let us know if you want us to join you at the next test session

bah, new or not, speak your mind . I always do, probably gets me in a little extra trouble, but its worth it . The extra opinion is always a good thing to have

In that case, there's a great bowling alley in Fairfax Circle and a pretty good one in Manassas as well.

 

Sorry to say but I was on a bowling league and I was the worst bowler in the league! Did I mention it was a senior citizen bowling league

 

The one off ***** Ford Road is nice. Right off of 66 too. (In Manassas BTW)

 

Yup, that be the one. And they have Cosmic Bowling with prizes and such. At least they did the last time I went.

My understanding is no. We're looking for a better maintained place to go, ideally still close to 495 so that Marylanders aren't as freaked about the drive.

My coworker is an avid bowler (leagues) and probably knows most of the venues here in Northern VA. She is out of town until tomorrow though. I plan on asking her for her advice on a good place to go.
