I just recieved an e-mail about another Parade happening in Baltimore wondering if DCMM would like to participate. The route runs along Pratt St. and the parade is scheduled to run from 11a-1p. Would anyone be instersted, I need to get back to them soon to give them a solid yes/no and count if yes.

Feedback just got off the phone with the event coordinator for the parade and she is sending me the paperwork for us to enter the parade. They think they have enough convertibles to take care of their "celebrities" but will let us know if they fall short and need more.

However, as a club, we have a spot in the parade.


We have been asked to limit it to 20 (Twenty) MINIS.

So the first 19 MINIs, other than Feedbacks, to be signed up on the calendar, get a spot in the

Ooooo, I want to be in a parade...but not sure I can do it with it being T-day and all. I will have my in-laws over and food to prepare.

Well, then, maybe if it is too cold to drive the horse and carriage, I'll just have to drive the MINI!

 

That's the same day as the Towson breakfast.

 

That's cool - it could be a great lead-in... from the Towson Breakfast to the parade.

Of course that would depend on what time we had to be at the parade (staging).

 

This is also the night for a club dinner too. I don't think I can do all that in one day.

No go, Bob Stern, the BMW club guy that I fought all the way trough the Columbus Day parade was so nice as to tell the parade people we don't want to join. Kind of funny, because I said 'I'll tell you yes or no by Saturday.' I really don't like that guy!

 

I might be off on this, and if I am just let me know, but can't you tell the parade ppl that Bob Stern, the BMW guy, doesn't speak for us, the Mini club?

 

I don't have a contact to the parade people, I'll try to get that information from Stern.

 

I just pm'd Ms. Goodwin's info to Jeremy and encouraged him to persue it. I think some good looking MINI's have a whole lot more "crowd pleasing appeal" than some stodgy looking 3 series bmw's.....

If the Baltimore Office of Promotion & The Arts wants us for the 55 year old Parade, then I'm in!
