Next installation party?

IVY is at Mini of sterling and I am expected to be contacted soon . Natually, the next thing I want to do is to add some strips, roof graphics....but I am not in a hurry and there are a lot of brainstorming and designning to do . I plan to have it done next spring, if we have enough people, maybe we can try to get Mike from AC to come down to do another installation party? Would love to hear some advice and ideas from dragonflyer, mdsbrain or anyone who has done it

You don't have to wait for another tint/graphics thing. You can add whatever you want whenever you want. For example, other NAM vendors like http://cooperflags.com/ and http://www.minipirate.com have all kinds of designs or can create whatever you want from your own picture.

Towson uses a subcontractor that you can call to do vinyl or there are other places to go locally.

The point is, if your ready to do some bling, you do not have to wait. For example, I ordered and had installed side-stripes from cooperflags immediately

And so will Mike from AC... With those other companies, they just send you the stuff to install yourself. With Dragonflyer he'll do the exact same. People just tend to prefer having someone they can trust apply the graphics. The first set of stripes I ordered from AC got botched when I tried to install them, so I had to order a second set. The second set didn't get installed the right way either.

Who better to install the custom vinyl, than the creator? But aside from that, you can order vinyl from anyone... I just suggest Mike because he's a Mini fan, participates on NAM, excellent customer service, and if you get enough people together, he'll come to you for an install party. Cooperflags & Mini Pirate dont.

Also with Mike he will be at the Dragon doing installations, as will CooperFlags (I think they will be coming again).... SO!!!! you and IVY will have to come down to MOTD so you can get some custom work done and then can also enjoy the other 600 MINIS as well as the Dragon!
What better way to go...that is where I got my Soulfire created last year! And she looks GREAT!

As said above. If you want to wait till Spring you might as well plan to join us @ the Dragon in May.

This is all true but it sounded like the originator didn't want to wait. You can order graphics from anybody. There are fine vinyl installers in this area who do the work ALL the time.

If your in a hurry, my point was there was no need to wait six months.

Oh, where to begin...

The short, short, short version:

MINIs on the Dragon is the largest annual gathering of MINIacs in the country, in the first full weekend of May. Last year, over 600 people registered, with over 400 MINIs.

Needless to say, get your calendar out now, and block out May 3rd-6th, 2007. You'll thank me later.

Here's an announcement post I made for this year's Dragon, to give you a little more info:

4th Annual MINIs on the Dragon May 4th–7th, 2006

There's a lot more info in the MOTD4 forum.

im about to order about $250 in window clings from aesthetic creations, if you want to save on shipping, pick out what you want within the end of week . Ill hold on to them until spring since u want to wait . But in seriousness, you don't need an install party to do customization. Just order the stuff from a/c or cooperflags, then install them yourself. or if your not comfortable with doin the install, take it to a tint shop, they will be able to do the install for you (for me, it was $100 for bonnet stripes)

To expand on what Edge said, in the shortest possible way....The Dragon is a public highway that goes between NC and TN. In 11.6 miles there are 318 curves! IT IS SO FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And of course we all gather and do lots of fun stuff with our MINI friends from all over the country! Ya gotta go!

600 people registered with 400 Minis.

A large percentage didn't register... Which isn't required... But thats like going to a concert and listening to the music from outside.

Sorry if i offended anyone by saying minis are cute...but i am a gal and i die for cute stuff :D
Jeremy1026, since IVY is still at the dealers and I think it may take me a while to find what goes best with a pw/b, i won't be able to order it very soon. But thanks!

Maybe the reference to MINIs being cute goes back to people asking if a MINI is a girls car or is gay. No offense taken.

i was really kinda kidding, because i know how hard it is to decide what you want to put on your MINI, ive been thinkin up roof graphics and side stripe ideas for about 2months. and have nothing to show for it. what dealer did you order IVY through? and do you have any idea when delivery will be?
