Krut has just informed me that the calendar can also handle RSVP's!! WOW!! So look there for the next event and we shall see if that handles it! Talk about saving time reading through threads and counting heads!
I have NOT set this up for the October events, since the majority of them are almost done with the RSVPing. But I am going to hook it up for Melanie's party on the 4th, so check it out.

New and Improved RSVPing

Ok!!! So with the new calendar we have created, everyone can now RSVP straight from the calendar. the only unfortunate thing is you can't say how many people will be joing you...HUMM, guess that will still have to be posted in the threads if that applies to you.
It is REALLY easy to do: NAM DCMM events
1) go into the DCMM calendar of events
2) click on an event you would like to RSVP to
3) Click on the 'Add me to this event'
There is even a way to remove yourself if you can't attend after once RSVPing.
This is REALLY easy to do guys!

For the October events, I am hooking it up, but don't worry if you don't click on it, since we have most of the RSVPs already! But feel free to click away for events you want to join!!

Google Calendar...

Cool, Stacey & Jay! It's good to have someone in charge of the events, I know from experience (Steven's the NCC BMW car club's Tourmeister (along with VP and membership Chair), who, after ~10 years has been slowly but surely relinquishing the events portion to other able-bodied club members, who have come up with some very creative and fun events!

If you ever care to throw back a few Guinness at Glory Days and pick his brain, I think that would be fun. (Although I'll have to supervise how much of it you can pick, since there's not that much left there to go around...)

Oh, BTW, that leads me back to why I posted, are you all using the Google Calendar for your events? And, if so, how does that work? I think that's a great idea if you are posting all the events on the calendar so a member can see what's going on at a glance. I've been trying to talk Steven into doing something like that on the NCC BMW CCA website, but I don't think he has... oh, honey!

I'd like to see that email feature used more often, too. I can't always get on this list to see the events, but would love for them to hit my email inbox.

Just so you all know, the calendar is now available to guests. You can look at the calendar, but you cannot RSVP or edit the calendar. This is for people that are not registered to NAM and I think is good for those whom find/look @ the DCMM sight and can check the calendar for events. Once the link is updated on our site, I think it will work out nice.

Jay,
Can you edit the link in your sig, so that it shows October, instead of September? Here is the link you should use https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...do=&c=5%5B/URL please

All you have to do is click "Show Today". I am not going to edit the link every month.

Jay, all you have to do is edit it once. The link you have is month-specific... instead, change the link to:

https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...lendar.php?c=5

Which is a main link to the calendar itself.
