Just so you know Dahlin!!!! The event will be OVER WAY earlier than 4a.m! You still can go with us! Just ride up with someone else! There are a few people in your area coming up.

 

Just a reminder, this event closes this Friday. We are working out all of the details. Will post all the info once the event closes so we can get a head count.

We have been waiting for the people at *** Point to get back to us about timing for this event.

So, the people coming up from DC/VA area, we are planning on meeting in Ellicott City. There is a park and ride off of rte 100 where it meets 103. Coming up from 95N, take rte 100 towards Ellicott City, and take the 103/LONG GATE PARKWAY exit. At the stop sign turn left and the park and ride is on the right.
There are a couple of fast food joints near that area. I am going to leave dinner up to everyone, since I think going to a restaruant will be too long on a Friday night. There is McD's and a KFC in the shopping area near the park and ride. From there it is about a 30-45 minute drive over to the park, depending on traffic.

We will plan to meet at the park and ride at 7:30pm. That will alow us to leave at 8pm SHARP to go to the House. We will have to cross the Key Bridge, so bring some small bills, or your EZPass. As well as your radios! ONLY for driving. I don't want for us to mess up the SCARY house with radio chatter! LOL The park offers a discount on tickets for parties over 20. The regular price is $8 so bring at least that, since I am not sure what the 'discount' will be!
There seems to be interest in going to the DQ afterwards for some ice cream, so we can do that if you want. hopefully the DQ will still be open!

That DQ stays open rather late, Ill go up there tomorrow to make sure the ice cream is delicious, and check the hours

 

Please make a note, you need to be taking the second exit for 103 or you will end up on Meadowridge road and then at rt 1 - totally opposite direction you need to be. If you take 103 and end up at a traffic circle you took the wrong exit. FYI.

 

Wendy, have they created a new exit? I thought this was the last exit before meeting 29? Isn't that 103, or am I totally wrong in my thinkning of exits?

 

the DQ just north of the haunted house is open until 11pm on fridays

 

I think leaving 8:00 pm is too late and we may end up in finding the park packed. If we plan to leave at 7:15 - max 7:30 I think will be better.

No, you are correct, but coming from I95 the very first exit from 100 is also 103. Since 100 loops around you hit 103 twice. Everyone coming from I95 just needs to be aware to take the second 103, which will be after the 108 exit and the left exit for Chick-fil-A.

I've made this mistake several times with people coming to visit us, and they are heading from 29...I'm like "yeah, just take 103 to the right and make a left here...etc." Well, I always forget to tell them to take the 2nd 103 from 29 and not the first one.

 

I am willing to adjust accordingly. I wanted to give people time to get out of DC after work, and I know that the traffic isn't the greatest going North on 95 and on the beltway. But if you all want to leave earlier, let me know. The Haunted House is open from 7p-12a, so I don't know what you guys want. We all will be sitting in traffic to get up there at 7:30 coming from DC. So, if we leave too early, we will be stuck in traffic the entire way!

The park and ride off of rte 100 is the LAST exit before hitting 29. the exit is named 103/LONG GATE PARKWAY. This is the one I am talking about, I am sorry that my exits seem to be getting messed up.

Yeah, I probably do a costume either. Course I really don't have any good ideas either or the energy to follow through, even it I did.
