I had talked to a couple of people about going to Union Jacks on the 21st. I'm wondering if people are up for it. I am going to have some non Mini friends coming down (my birthday is next week) and I of course want to have my new friends there as well! I was thinking about 7pm or so like the last time we went. It was just so much fun!

My B Day is the 21st too. Alas y'all can't throw me a surpise party, I'll be in Pennsylvania that whole weekend...

 

Well, we can always go to UJ's later on! If we want to go to your house on Sun, I can tell my best friend to come down another weekend. I don't want to screw up the dragon wrap up! I want to see everyone's pics too!

It looks like more people are open for going up to your house Katie that weekend, since most people seem to be off that weekend anyway. I would rather have all of us together anyway! I'll push UJ's back a couple of weeks. That way maybe Mark M. will be in town too, and we can celebrate both our birthdays. How does the first weekend in June sound? June 3rd? that is the next Sunday after Memorial Day and isn't Sunday when thye have free pool?

 

Who says we can't do the wrap up @ UJ's?

It was pretty much ours last time, and if someone was able to bring a projector/screen, I don't think they'd mind if we asked ahead of time.

One thing that was suggested was to do UJ's more late afternoon or lunchtime. Just throwing it out there....

 

I'm sorry Stace...I didn't mean to throw a wrench in your plans. Let's do Pool for your b-day and do the wrap-up on the 3rd at my house. We can have cake as the 3rd's 3 days before my b-day. we can celebrate yours and mark's late, and mine early.

The only problem with that is now they actually have bands at night on Sunday. Or at least that is what the website says...
I vote for going to Katie's on the 3rd, that way we can celebrate 3 birthdays and eat MORE cake!! I love CAKE!!! And I'll even make one. That way, everyone can join.

 

Sunday is the "free pool & darts" night at UJ's though, as well as very cheap drinks at certain hours.

The bands usually don't fire up until later, like 9pm or so I think.

 

so... Union Jacks on the 21st at 7 pm? Katies on the 3rd? Is that what we are doing? If so, I may be able to squeeze in everyone, including my best freinds birthday.. Let me know, so I can figure it all out. Ugh, too much to do!!!

 

Yea! And I am asking a bunch of my nursing friends to join us as well. It may be quite a crew. Of course, I am not sure if anyone will show up, but Jay and I will be there with my best friend and her husband... Who knows.
So here is a little incentive for the single men of the group..There are single nurses possibly coming as well. They were asking about single men...LOL

About 7 pm May 21st at Union Jacks Pub in Bethesda. A little fun get together/birthday party for ME! I am 30 YIKES on wednesday. But it isn't just a birthday party. It is just a bunch of people getting together to have a good time. It just happens to be right after by bday!
Jay and I are going up there early for dinner. And anyone can join us for some chow. I think we will be getting there around 6pm or so. Getting in a little pool early!

Parking is FREE!!! There is a parking garage just down the street and it has been requested to park on the TOP level so all of us can park together so Wagnbat can get pictures! I would love some of those too! I think it is going to be a good turnout and we should all have a really good time!

Morning All! I can't believe I am awake and functioning normally at 8am! But then again I do get to go back to sleep after I take Jay to the Metro!!HEE HEE I had a GREAT time last night, thanks for everyone who came out to celebrate my birthday and hang out. It was really fun.
I think there was a call last night to make this a monthly event...No not my birthday, but going to Union Jacks! The manager told Irish Cow that if we gave him enough notice, that on a Sunday he would be able to block off the street in front of the bar for something like 20 or so cars so we could all park there! In MINI terms, that would fit the whole club So that would be really fun.
Again, thanks for making my birthday a fun one, now I can take this next decade like an adult...YAH RIGHT
