Irish Gnome Hunting

I'm not sure I'll have a ton of access to email while in Ireland - but I am going to check out the motorized mirrors for the MINI while in Eire! Have fun and stay tuned for the adventures of Kaptain Krutaroo!

Motorized mirrors! I want those for my MINI! Will look on the new CD and see if they are an accessory yet.

BTW. There is a store on S Royal Street in Old Town Alexandria called the Tea Cosy. The woman who owns it is British, and imports lots and lots of sundries, including those non-pc Yorkies! Yep Yorkies, Maltesers, Cadbury Crunchies, Scone mix, etc, etc all right here. She also has a tea room with afternoon tea, sandwiches, tea, scones, etc. I have always thought it would be fun to have a MINI party there, but parking is a huge problem unless we worked out something with the city.

I found a Yorkie source here in DC... But each bar is over a dollar. :/

Hence my request for 2 cases from the UK.

hey kids

first day with internet access where I was able to dump the family for a few mins and duck into an internet cafe - WagnBat-you'll get your two cases of yorkie things.. different flavours too.

Weather has been good up until today - have only spotted three MINIs in Ireland - not many where we're out in county Kerry. I am splitting driving duties with my brother - he rented a 11 passenger Ford Transit turbodiesel van 5 spd - the thing is massive for these roads. Interesting when we meet the towering buses.

Wags - you might get an even extra assortment of Yorkies if I can find them - given the hell you and your MINI have gone through. Me and the gnome are slogging it through Eire - we climbed Skelligs yesterday - several in our posse faced their fear of heights, birds and falling and made it up the 560 steps up to the old Monk beehives on top of a rock in the middle of an ocean. Lots of fun. Today is slogging around in the Ford Transit van. Bleech. Tommorrow - more slogging and sightseeing in the Ford Transit van - on a good note we managed to consume 54 litres of diesel and cover 650 km - that's pretty good mileage - I think that works out to 25 mpg. Anyone want to correct my math?

Fairly close...

12 km/liter = 28 miles/gallon(US)

1 km/liter = 2.3521458 miles/gallon(US)

Enjoy your trip.
