Hey all, I was wondering how much do you all pay for an oil change and where do you go.

To the dealer for a free oil change if still in warranty period and at the service interval.

For oil changes in between - I go up to Lucky Dog Garage - formerly the Glenleg Service Center.

I have read of folks buying the oil and filter and taking it to a Jiffy Lube like place to get the job done.

About $20 for the oil (Mobil 1 or MINI oil), $10 for the filter, and $6 for the lift time on a military base, usually Andrews, as it's the cleanest and best equipped, with pleasant, helpful people!

The first change I paid for cost me around $70 ($40 for ramps, $20 for oil, $10 for sockets, filter was free). My next one will cost considerably less as I'll only have to get the oil and the filter.

I have also had some work done at Lucky Dog, had my brake pads changed out. I can also recommend them. They know what they're doing and are more than happy to talk and answer questions.

That's where I picked mine up. They sell a 5 quart (?) jug for right around $20.

Wal-Mart is the cheapest place that I Have found. It is now up to $21-$22 for the 5qts. Have paid as much as $23 @ Wal-Mart, depends on the market. I change the oil & filter every 6K miles and take me all of 10 minutes.

I third the WalMart suggestion. They're always cheaper than AutoZone, Advanced, etc.

COSTCO has 6-pack cases of Mobil1 full-synthetic. I think for $24.99
What grade? I think 5W-30 (i just know it matched what the owners manual said).

OIL FILTERS... search eBay, you can get four (4) OEM filters for $27.
A while back I purchased ten (10) for $65... seems like a good deal, I think Sterling charges $9/ea?

... I'm good for 70,000 miles...
