If you guys do find a place to meet up I'll be there. If it's before the 19th or after the 30th. I'd like to finally meet some of you guys.

Sounds good to me, if there's enough time to get there from Annapolis/Bowie. Wife gets off at 6 during the week (not sure if this may be a M-F event), and would likely want to attend.

Erm, also not as planned! I thought that I was going to be here the whole weekend, but I decided to take the opportunity to travel up to NY and see old friends. Just got back late last night, so not much scouting took place.

I got a suggestion though about Mango Mike's located a bit outside old town Alexandria, and it looks like fun! What better way to warm ones' self than with a 'Caribbean beach party' in the middle of January!

I'm looking to plan it the 14th or 15th of this month. It looks like that there's possibly a private room available, and fixed-price meals (no check guesswork!) It's got a really good setup for parties of 20-30 people. I should be able to get there tomorrow and check it out. The website is here if y'all want to check it out.

14 yes 15 no

On the 15th there are a couple of mtgs going on. We have a Board mtg. on that day and we should have a Dragon mtg as well . Try to schedule something for the 14th .

In addition...

...to the weekend Mango Mike's thing...

How about 'winter' weeknight Mexican? Any Northern VA'ers wanna do Chevy's by Pentagon City, or Don Pablo's on Rt 1 just south of Crystal City?

Or on the non Mexican side there's also a brew pub called Hops just below CCY too that's got excellent food...

Mexican sounds good to me! There is also Chevy's at Ballston for another metro friendly option.

Not this Sat., but likely the 28th. Just waiting for verification of the date and meal plan from the manager!

OK, I'm going to start a new thread...

Suggesting next Tue, the 17th at Don Pablo's on Rt 1 just south of Crystal City. Anyone interested but who wants to metro can get in touch and I'll pick em up at Crystal City Metro.

We can discuss time in the new thread...

Note: No one is allowed to come if it will prevent them from also coming to breakfast that weekend! If you're only willing to do one event a week come to the breakfast Sat the 21st at Sterling. I don't want to undermine a standing tradition!

We can do Hops too, in a few weeks...
