MINI Stolen from my wheel

Some enterprising person has pried the black/white thing which says MINI off my left front wheel. (It probably has another name, but I don't know it.) They are the stock 15" non-holey white wheels.

Anyone know where I could find one of these to re-install? Anyone got a set of these in their garage they wouldn't mind losing the MINI off of?

Bummer Jen!!! Ya know - you are the 3rd person this week I've seen post with this same issue.....I hope this is not a trend starting... Call Kerri at Sterling and see if might have one laying around the Service Bay...

MINI apparently refers to them as "Hub Caps" I like to think of them as center caps. The part # for replacement seems to be 36131171069 with a cost of $3.29 (looks like they all use the same part).

To be sure though you could check on RealOEM.com to select your specific wheel style and get the part number.

This happened to me too. at first I thought it was theft. first one wheel. then a week later the next wheel. however the second wheel emblum fell off while driving. I noticed because I checked the wheels before driving home and when i got home it was gone.

I do not think these are getting stolen. the glue is debonding and they are falling off while we are driving.

I would take it to the dealer and push that it is a warrenty issue. I am 100% positive after looking at the glu and the dirt on it that it stated debonding a little at a time until it didn't stick at all.

What Pat W said. I initially thought the same thing: someone wanted a nice coaster or something that said MINI but I suspect it just lost adhesion and fell off.

Someone said they called the dealership about it and they just mailed them a replacement. I haven't bothered yet. Figured I'd get a new one when I went in for my first oil change. You can also order them online or through ebay, etc.

I actually spent some time trying to find more creative replacements -- like an Ameircan flag or something instead of just saying "MINI" but sadly, it seems these things only exist with car brands on them. Can find Ford, MINI, Audi, etc but nothing "creative".

Ditto, here

Picked up "her" new MINI, got it home, parked in the driveway. Noticed the blue plastic coating to protect the finish was still on it, peeled it off and the little MINI hub cover came with it! Dealer replaced without blinking an eye.

I do have the MINI disk still...

Ooops

Just reread the post and didn't mean to sound cryptic with "her". That's my wife - got her MINI in July, loved it so much had to order my own!

This is possibly what happened to me. I check the wheels before driving too. I am nearly positive it was on my car when I parked in Georgetown yesterday morning but I noticed right away it was not on my car when I came back in the evening.

It might have fallen off during driving and I missed it...so I will call the dealer as a start. Need to take her in for a malfunctioning window anyway!

Those things are a POS! I lost one on the way home from picking up my new car. First thing everyone says when they see my car? Hey, you're missing a logo there! My dealer sent me a replacement in the mail and when I went out to put it on I checked the others by tapping on them. 2 more fell off! I have 3 siting sitting here now. What crap. I'm trying to figure out what is going to keep them on. They should have used tabs or something instead of a dab of what looks like contact cement.

Ideas??????
gregc
ps: quality is in the details!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Guess what

The MINI is back on my wheel.

I think that Towson must have noticed it was missing when I was in for service recently and stuck it back on.

Noticed when I got home that it is back on the wheel.
