I think a point you might be missing is that both Sterling and Towson BOTH sell their own versions of aftermarket kits in order to compete with the small independent shops. Towson will sell and warrant the Minimania stage (whatever) kit.

I know for a fact since they tried to sell to me. As to the number of pulleys they done ... that depends upon how many modded cars they have sold new. I would expect just as many as a small shop.

They said. "WE ONLY WARRANTY WHAT WE SELL."
AND, they sell anything in the MiniMania catalog. That includes a lot of parts!

I'm not shilling for Towson, I've had minor issues with them and gone to Sterling (although a much longer drive) for parts because I believe they are even more mod friendly.

At a significant markup. They sell the pulley kit for $250.

OK ... then try sterling. Parts will buy most anything at 15% off if you mention roadfly. Very mod friendly.

When I had my pre-track day brake emergency last week, Towson told me they could not get GreenStuff pads for me from MiniMania because they were in the midst of some sort of billing dispute with them.

That is the sort of thing that can change quickly, so YMMV, but at least then you could not expect them to obtain and warrant parts from MiniMania. I was told to get them myself and bring them in for them to install. Wound up having Helix do it for a touch more than half of what Towson wanted. ($470 vs $850).
