Besides, your MINI would literally be "killed with kindness", compared to your ascetic vehicular hygiene rituals..

Sorry to miss the run this year. We have a scheduling conflict with the Jim Thorpe II Run. Karen and I thoroughly enjoyed last year and I thought getting lost just added character to the event
. Well, we wish DCMM the best for this year's B&B.
Seems like my body wants to reject it's nominally healthy state. So I might not make it tomorrow. I'm going to leave work early today and get home and rest to try and make it out tomorrow. But based on previous illnesses I doubt that will happen. (nothing major, just cold-like)
based on this info, I will be leaving Kent Island at roughly 6:45am. That will put me in Annapolis at 7:15-7:20am, which should put me in Fredrick @ 8:15-9:15am.....yeah, i have no idea how long it will take to get there....but I cant imagine anything over 2 hours.

Wish we were there to join you again. You won't believe this, but we found the decal from the first year that were made for the run!! We had never put in on Scooter and when going through some paperwork - it popped out....
We'll charish it forever in Scooter's memory book.....

Personally, I'd take I97 to MD32 and take MD32 for ~30 miles(going by Ft.Meade, Columbia & Clarksville). Then hang a left (west) onto I70 at West Friendship (replacing steps 6-9 on the Google route).
Also at Exit 54 south of I270, you can take either MD85 or MD355; FSK Mall splits the two roads. The Perkins recommended for breakfast is on MD355.
:)
This is a great drive. I am looking forward to it. I am planning on showing up @ Perkins for breakfast
. It appears as though we do not have near as many attendees as last year any particular reason?

Well, it turns out that my work stuff went longer (MUCH longer) than I had hoped. I ended up sleeping at my office, on the couch in the front desk area, while I waited for this huge data copy to happen. Even then, it didn't finish until 11:30am, and then I had to wait for another (smaller though) copy...
I was at my office until 3pm this afternoon. Not counting lunch yesterday, that's about 29 hours straight at my office!
I hope the B&B drive was a great as I have heard it to be. I'm sorry I couldn't make it. Around 9am, I was hoping that everything would finish in time for me to meet you all for lunch, and do the second part of the drive. But clearly it just wasn't in the cards today. I love my job but sometimes it can be a real pain!
See you all at the next meet, I hope!

Thanks Aaron, Jen and Paul! for a great route. The roller-coaster road that began with a big climb, the road of monuments at Antietam, and the little country lane at the end were specially nice choices.
