i promised i would only handwash my mini, and in keeping with that promise, i've barely washed my car. i don't have a garden hose or driveway, so i've gone to flagship and used their bays.


i'm wondering if any dc people can recommend a good wintertime carwash spot.

 

With my last car and other cars in the family we sometimes go to Seabrook touchless carwash (in Seabrook, MD). That is I handwash my Mini and most of the our other cars lately. I just get a better wash and more often when I do it myself. Also with aftermarket exterior parts I would feel better knowing I messed up the finish then some carwash.

 

Last winter I took mine to David's II on Four Mile Run in Arlington a few times. It came out cleaner (certainly not a great wash, but fine for the money) and undamaged.

There is also a Mr. Wash place on Glebe in Arlington. I've driven by twice and seen a black MINI Cooper getting a wash there.

I think this year I am just going to find one of those places with water and shelter and wash it myself. I can't be bothered to hook up the garden hose in the winter!
