Can anyone recommend a good reliable mechanic or garage for my initial oil change on my Clubman S in or around Gaithersburg, Maryland?

 

I use BEHE PERFORMANCE (410-489-0230) in Glenwood, Md. which is up Rt. 97. They are top notch for minor things like oil changes up to and including
performance mods for your MINI. I trust them completely with my car. Just
don't go to a quick lube place!

 

Thanks "Minirab," much appreciated. It's a lot closer and I am sure less expensive than going across the Potomac to the dealer.

Nothing-special tire shop. I've bought summer and winter tires from there, go there twice a year to have them swapped and I've done an oil change there. They had no problems getting it done and they've never approached me with the old, "we also found a problem with your gerflunkometer" trick, which is my chief dread when going to any autoshop.

My only complaint about the place is as that review says: bring a book or leave it overnight. Even with an appointment they're not the swiftest place.

Now that my BMW maintenance contract is over with I'm in the market for a new place for regular maintenance in the Germantown/Gaithersburg area. I may just keep trying Tires Plus if they can do it all. Glenwood is a little further than I'd like, though anything beats the drive to the nearest MINI dealer. You'd think they'd put one up 270 somewhere.
