BYL, please add one to both the run and lunch. I'm sorry that I'm so late

doing this but medical reasons got in the way. And I will be able to keep

up.

All --

Thank you for your responses to my request for a head count for the restaurant. I'm surprised, and somewhat overwhelmed, at the numbers for both the run and lunch afterward.

After updating the restaurant with our numbers, I received a call from the general manager of the Hunter's Head Tavern, David Stephens. Because of our large number, I had to compromise with him to make our outing easier on his kitchen and establishment, as well as, hopefully, reducing our wait for food. Here are our compromises:
  1. Rather than the full menu I provided earlier this week, he has come up with a more limited menu for us to order from. I tried to impress upon him the fact that I am unsure of the dietary preferences within the group and he included a couple of vegetarian options, plus salads, etc.

For a quick look at the options he's provided, see our DCMM MENU.

  2. In order to more easily deal with finances, he stated that there could be no separate checks. After our last big run in Towson, there was a bit of a money problem after the check made its way down the table and I told him I didn't want to have another occurrence of that issue. Therefore, he agreed that, since we will not all be able to fit a single table (indeed we won't fit in a single room), bills will be done on a per table basis.

Please note that tax and gratuities will be included in the bill, as we are a group of greater than 8.
I want to thank you in advance for your cooperation. I'm looking forward to a GREAT run!!

Ok folks, this means you should bring cash for your lunch. They are not going to split each table's bill onto two or three credit cards. Please have some sympathy for byl and the restaurant staff. Come prepared with cash!

Umm... not to throw a wrench in the works, but you know that parking lot above Wegman's is now a strip mall? I think where your "x" is is currently some kind of Outdoors/REI type of store... are we meeting over there?

No worries Byl re: the check and menu setup... Another member and I EACH had to kick in a extra $40 bucks once to cover a group check at the Herndon mexican place we used to go...

So this is the way to do it!

Actually, where the yellow "X" is in that image (though it appears to be in the dirt), is parking lot now. It is a strip mall up there, but that particular spot is pavement. (Guess I'm just confused about your comment.)

I will be over there today, so I will verify my claim, but I've already done this run a couple of times in pre-planning and that's where I've started from. Hopefully, I'm not imaging parking lots where there are buildings.

I'll update if I'm wrong.

Strangely enough it happened to me too and it wasn't my run. The per table idea is best. It would really be nice if everyone stayed until the bill is cleared

Rab's back - YEAH !

Guess what? I'm partially wrong.

Although that spot is parking lot, there is not an easy way in and out of it. Therefore, let's just meet in the upper part of the Wegman's parking lot. I've updated the post with the meeting location to show the new spot.

Thanks to loxycoon for pointing this out!

I just wanted to pop in to say "Have fun" to everyone! I wish I could go, but what with my upcoming move to a new residence and work, I won't be able to make it.

Now awaiting pics....

... and to those three lucky people, or anyone else, I'll have a used badge holder that bolts through the grill for sale. Assuming I can get my MINI takes the States badge off it and clean it. That badge wasn't magnetic. Getting the floss now.

Will it be a problem if I decide to show up for the run? It looks like a few people might not make it, and I'd be happy to claim their spots.
