AUX jack installed at MoS?

Has anyone local had the glovebox Aux port/jack installed post-delivery at MoS or one of the other local dealerships?

I have finally given up on burning my music and audiobooks to mp3 format and putting them on CDs to play in my MINI. Of course, this is because I have finally given up my other other mp3 players for my iPhone. Now that I have everything in iTunes, it is a pain to convert them to mp3 format for CD burning (not to mention, I know, slightly illegal).

So I'm thinking of picking up a small iPod Shuffle as a secondary music/audiobook device to keep in my car, and the FM transmitters just don't seem to be reviewed overly well. And since my MINI has already been broken in to once for my GPS system, I'd prefer to have things hidden.

Anyone had this done lately? Any idea of the cost? How well does it work? I know I typically have to schedule service appointments at least a month out at MoS, would this type of service be the same (or more?)...

Thanks!!

Hmm... didn't realize it might be easy. I found the part kit at MiniCarParts.net (had great ordering experience with them with my roof rack) for only $42.95.

I know I don't have the tools to do it... (drills, torx wrench and panel popper according to the instructions) or really the skill. Anyone out there handy with this stuff? I'll pay for the install in cash!

you can do it without any tools, well, as long as you don't want the jack flush mounted. The panel pops down under the radio, reach up and plug it in

I had mine mounted in the cubby below the toggle switches instead of the glove compartment for easier access.
