[Saturday, August 16th @ 11am] Vroom Vroom to Broom's Blooms
Darn! I just remembered that I told a few of you all that I was going to put together a "The Wife's Away Run" the next time Bev is out of town and that happens to be this very weekend. Totally forgot so I'll have to do it another time.
In any case, if anyone hasn't done a Wolf617 run, do so! Bill has some of the best roads to drive on in the area and the ice cream is the perfect topper to the day.

I'll refrain from posting my idea for the "Wife away" run.....it still could be done......in a devious way
I'm really looking forward to this one (Jeff's....I mean....Bill's run), a real stress relief for sure......

Woohoo! FINALLY an event that I will be able to attend (my last run was the St. Patty's Day "Parade")! I work retail during the summers, so I never have weekends free... but now I'm done with that balderdash as I'm heading back to school in a week!
I have an inquiry to make, however. I tore through my stack of DCMM business cards within the first month of summer, tagging MINIs left and right every day. How do I get more? Would it be possible to get some at this meet and greet?
Thanks!
Dan

I don't know if Laura has any extra that she can bring, but you can print out some yourself on Avery perforated busines cards.( I forgot the model number)

Its hard to believe my eyes when I see your "2009" model year
It only seems like yesterday when I picked up Wensleydale, now she's coming up on 2 years old but the model is 3
but then she'll always be my first new car Looking forward to seeing everyone !
Wife AND son away for this one... back in Warsaw. So it'll be just me on this run.
Sorry that you missed it jayita.
We had a great day!
The fun started with the Meet and Greet at Towson.
I pulled into the side parking lot only to find that it was packed with BMW's.
I figured that we would have to park on the street since we can't park on the sales lot. Then I notice the lot guy waving me down to park on the lot. Turns out that MoT only has a problem with us parking there when they need the spaces for their stock. Understandable. By the time everyone got there, we had probably twice as many member MINIs as MoT had to sell.
Next MoT rolled one of their convertibles out of the showroom to make room for us. My MA, Evan, found a table for us to set our goodies on. We had a great selection too. Maxicooper and Spitfire MkI brought bagels. Filetofish came with muffins and GreenCactus and ccc777 both baked MINI-shaped cookies.
The manager,Brad, had the lot guy bring the mobile washing rig over to the parking lot and washed the cars of anyone who desired the service.
The run went pretty well. Except for misplacing a few members, things ran pretty smoothly.
Once again,we lucked out and had beautiful weather. We had no Amish encounters and all the bikers managed to stay on two wheels. We even managed to ride through the section that was detoured on the last 2 runs.
Thank you to everyone that came out to join the run, especially the first-timers. I hope that you had as much fun as I did.
BTW,my ice cream flavor today was Apple Pie.

Thank YOU Bill for arranging the run... the only thing better than the run and the ice cream ( I had apple pie as well) was the company that accompanied both ! As always, it was a pleasure seeing the DCMM Irregulars again !
Also, a thanks goes out to MoT for having us ! Thanks Brad, Evan, and all.
Cheers,
Derek

A fun time, as always. Thanks to Bill for this remix of a run. There was definitely a feeling of déjà vu at times.
A few pics:
13 MINIs + 5 more (not pictured) = 18 at the WaWa pit stop

The general state of confusion as we searched for the lost MINIs mid-trip (Some people thought they might be hiding in the trees
)

The gang enjoying the spoils of our labor

Cheers.

Happy Cows & Mini's
Bill - thanks for a great drive. Those back roads and country side scenery were a blast! Enjoyed meeting everyone (some again). Nice folks, fun car drive, beautiful weather and ice cream - hey, it just doesn't get any better!
Thanks Bill, for a fun day! We enjoyed the roads and look forward to your next one.
We were the ones who missed the turn. I thought I saw Jeff flagging us past the road.
What exactly was Mike doing in trees?

MINIs going all over the place!

Who let the scooter in the motorcycle gang?

Christine enjoying the medium ice cream!
