Nah, more than likely we will have a line of them so there might not be room. I will have two out, one for my planes and the other for humans

Anybody going to make it to this? How's the parking and should I be afraid of things falling out of the sky onto my Precious?

I'm going. I'm bringing a friend and her 5 year-old. We'll probably be there between 9:30-10 and stay until noon or so.

Thanks for inviting us all out, Mike. Bev and I and I'm sure everyone else had a great time.

Here are some photos from the day.

1) The best part was when we got there the parking people parted the cones and led us to a secret MINI only parking site. Nice touch!

2) The event was well supported by the MINIs. Six MINIs attended but three other DCMMers without MINIs were there as well.

3) Plenty of planes in attendance. These things are huge!

4) They had a trainer plane where newbies could try their hand at flying. Here Mike is helping Greg learn the ropes.

5) It was a nice relaxing day all around. Thanks for setting up an area for us to hang, Mike.

6) Mike gets his P47 Thunderbolt ready to fly.

7) Ready for takeoff.

8) In for a safe and sound landing.

9) Mike does a flyby.

10) The gang has a good laugh. (probably at my expense)

We enjoyed the day.

Glenn

Thanks for sharing the pictures.

We had a good time as well. Very impressed from what all the model planes can do.

I wish I could stay longer. Will definitely be there again next time.

Many thanks to Mike for inviting us.

Guys ! Thanks sooooooooo much for coming out !!!!!!!!! You make me so proud to be a MINI owner and happy to be a DCMMer ! All the gang was talking about the MINIs ! I gave a big thanks to FSA for allowing me to create the exclusive parking arrangement ! The older fellow with the red shirt that was issuing parking instructions is my UAV Tech "Don" and he is the best ! He made sure all the parking guys knew to steer you in the right direction.

Glad the flying was good and you enjoyed yourselves ! If anyone ever wants to try it out, I have a trainer plane that I would be glad to instruct you on to see if you want to get more involved. Gregory did great ! Derek grew chicken feathers and wouldn't jump outta the nest ! Hah !

Anyway, I'm exhausted, I just got finished getting everything inside and made a quickie to the Beer store for some afternoon relaxation - whew !

See you tomorrow in the AM !

Cheers,

Mike

Mike ! It was a blast ! We'll be more than happy to come out again (if you'll have us) !

About the chicken feather comment.... I wanted to but was fearing another
scene like this (and I wasn't on "THE LIST" (for once) !!!

And just a couple more that I would like to share.... first and formost :

Not all fun and play... SOMEONE had to fuel the aircraft :

and I STILL say that this

is an accident waiting to happen !!!

A Rapide :

Thanks again Mike for inviting us !

Cheers !

Eh, I was too chicken as well. I wouldn't be able to fly in front of all those people. What a great turnout!

I know Ed was interested in flying the trainer as well, so with him, myself and Derek, I think you'll have at least three students. I'm sure Bev would take a stab as well.

We should set something up for later in the summer.

Great time Mike I will definitely come out again and maybe bring my Dad next time. Just a warning that he will talk your ear off

I would love to try it but I really do not need another expensive hobby

No, this man is a professional. Now if the plane were facing in the

opposite direction...

This really looks awesome! Would really like to come out the next time.

Thanks Mike!

I just wish I coulda stayed longer.

The aircraft were incredible. Loved the jets and the Sukhoi? that kinda just hung in the air.

Wilma and (insert husband's name here ,sorry,I missed it) were very nice. I hope they come out to play with the new MINI.

I would also like to try my hand at the transmitter, but as Brian said, I really can't afford to get into another hobby right now.
