Hope you can make it, otherwise I'm going to feel like DCMM is a figment of my imagination or that I'm the sole member. They said a limit of 10 cars. Wonder what the lower limit is?

We are not going to make the Annapolis parade. We're leaving early Saturday morning and this makes for a very long day. However, we're still going to be at the Capitol Hill Parade.

I'd suggest we gather at Annapolis mall at one of the outlying restaurants. I'll check with my folks in a hour or two as to what's there.
We'll leave the mall area at 4:45pm. To head to the staging area.

AliceCpr07, parades are best done in convertibles! Practice your 'royal' wave!

Party stores are best, then A.C. Moore and Michaels to a lesser degree.

Do you have a tiara and white gloves you could wear?

That'd be a riot. Let everyone try to figure out who you are!

I'll have my flag rack thingie that goes on the roll bar and holds a couple American flags and and couple DCMM ones. I think I've got red white & blue bunting for the sides too. Guess I better pull out the 'parade bag' tonight and check my stock in case I need to supplement it a bit.

I suggest we pre stage in the prking lot of the AppleBee's at Annapolis mall. We'll leave the mall at 5 pm and go to the staging area then...

If I may suggest..Graul's Market parking lot is closer to the staging area...less crowded, too.

You're right of course but...

While I know how to find Graul's I don't know any of the road names to tell someone else how to get there. And I figured others might want to get a pre parade bite to eat as my Dad and I will... So I figured Annapolis mall Applebee's would be a easy landmark for people to find.

Besides, at this point I'm the only definite with 1 maybe...

Lookin' good!

Hey Mark-

You, your father and The MINI looked terrific in the rain! Sorry for the blurred 2nd shot... lots of jostling from the crowds. Great job, Mark!

There were a few other cars, including a Ferrari that I couldn't shoot (but it sounded almost as good as Mark's MINI when it revved its engine!)

Hope your car gets dried out before it starts to mildew!

Thanks for the pics! "The MINI" got put away in the garage with the top and windows down and a fan running. The Wet Okoles should have taken the brunt of it and dry out fine. By the time we got to you I had taken my 'flag rack' off the car that was on the roll bars. It holds three American flags and two DCMM flags.

Up on the circle when the parade stopped for a moment I jumped out and removed it so I could put the top up if I wanted. I was close to puttin it up several times as it rained pretty good a few times but we stuck it out and had a hoot.

Saw you of course and also saw Marina and James who screamed great stuff at me. They also insisted that I make some noise with the gas pedal. So I only did that twice, up with them and then where you were.

All in all great fun even though I was a couple units back from the belly dancers this time.

Nice Photos -
We live just south of Annapolis and thought about going, but I guess you really need to plan your summer ahead. That's great that they had the parade even though it rained, did they do the fireworks?

Yup. There's a running joke about putting me at the front of the DCMM group 2 years ago so I was right behind them, being the single guy in the DCMM parade contingent.

Well, I'm glad you had a good time despite the weather. Hope your car dries out without problems.

Did the rain let up and the fireworks go off in Annapolis?
