I'm interested in this too. Unfortunately, I won't have anything to install for a little while. New drums took a big chunk out of my bank account. Might have some simple stuff like mirror caps or something by then though. +1 on this.

i just installed mirror caps last friday! did it all by my lonesome....my father would be so proud

did it with a butter knife too! couldnt find a flat-head screw driver, so i improvised *shrug* (although the people driving by must've thought i was trying to vandalize a random persons car, as i got many weird faces. or maybe it was just because there was a butter knife sticking out of the mirror? )

so now i have to install my white side repeaters....

sounds about like something i would do.

repeaters shouldn't be too bad...shouldn't be. all the super simple stuff seems to go very wrong for me. just unlucky i guess.

hopefully you will fare better than i usually do. good luck with that.

I want to join in!
I've been thinking about boot stripes to match the ones on the bonnet. I'm interested to see the time/date that is set - and hopefully i can come!

We have a garage with a dual post lift, and plenty of space for parking. But we're also kind of out in the boonies so I'm not sure in anyone would want to drive down to Fredericksburg or not...

I'll be back in Virginia next week after my much needed vacation; and i'm really trying to finish the final touches on my MINI.

Does anybody know how to do the Factory Driving Light Install, and do the install so the lights can be turned on/off at my discretion?

As stated before i think paying $600 is WAAAY too much for the dealer to do the install, and i'd rather not be without my car for a few days. (Spent way to much money on a rental car on my vacation)

Thanks in advance.

I've got an exhaust to install as well as a rear aero bumper on my 2002 Cooper....my problem is I bought the exhaust used and I can't seem to find the proper exhaust gaskets. I'm not sure of the exhaust manufacturer, I got it off of the classifieds here and I've lost the contact info of the seller. What's the best way to find the proper gaskets? I guess I should take a part of the exhaust to a muffler shop and see if I can match it up with something they have? I'll try and take pics this weekend and post them up, maybe one of ya'll know who makes it???

No problem. High temp Silicone gasket maker from Advance should do it.

I wish I was so lucky. A drive to my family is a 4.5 hour trek north, hahaha. So, please, someone do the HUMANE thing and setup a wash day.

"For only one weekend a month you, too, can help a homeless MINI like these be clean and fresh for the first time in ages! Don't hesitate, every day counts!"

(not my car, but you get the idea, hahaha)

I have Wash Day at my house every weekend.

So... no thanks. But I'm still waiting for Install Day to materialize.

Clay isn't removing water spots ?? And are you hand-polishing, or using a machine polisher ??

Me too!

I want (need?) to take the iPod adapter out of Decker and put it in Penny. Gosh, when I put it that way, it sort of sounds like a transplant...

Keep me updated. If an install party comes to fruition, count me in!

my father clayed it for like 20 minutes...nothing. so then he did a hand-polish and that didnt work either....

he has a machine polisher, but we didnt do it yet.

i'm just annoyed with it. you spend all afternoon making it pretty- and theres waterspots that never go away
