Good to know I may even be able to drag the b/f with me this time since he missed yesterday's run.

Chris, what's the time line for tonight? I have to be home around 7:00 so I think I'm going to miss out on the fun after the meeting.

You have to leave around 6.30pm in order to be home by 7pm. You will miss it.

I wish you could stay a little longer. You would definitely love the surprise.

It was nice meeting all of you guys tonight! It's always good to put some faces with NAM usernames!
I hope you guys enjoyed the MINI-run (ha, no pun intended). Sorry I had to jet out early.

If anyone else took pics of our lineup - please post them. I forgot my camera.

What a good day for coffee and motoring.

As always, it was fun day. Weather was really nice. We sat outside in the court yard had coffee/tea, talk MINI with friends.

Thank you everyone for stopping by, I really had a great time.

We finished the Coffee meet with a surprise run, down to the Great Falls on Maryland side. It was so beautiful, lots of water though.

Then we, (Bill, Laura and me), did motoring together along C&O canal, passed Georgetown and cut through Rock Creek Park. the run finished near White Flint, Rockville.

Bill, I hope you like the roads.

Here are some pictures from today Coffee & MINIs.

BTW, Glenn and Christine, you left so early, I wish you both could join us on the run and at the falls.

Wow, looks like the rest of you had a great time! The pictures are so beautiful. Sorry I had to miss it. Since I won't be able to climb all of next week, I wanted to get all the climbing in that I could this week. The coffee meet was fun though and it was nice to see new faces !!

I've undertaken a weight loss program and hope to get back to my old skinny self, Leona too. I've abused myself for far too long ! The more I lose, the faster Wensley goes When I get down to my targeted weight, I'll be ready to take all of you on at the kart track !

Soooooo as for the coffee meet, I go biking on Tues and Thurs after worky, sorry I missed out, looks like you guys had a good time !

Cheers,

Mike

What a great day!

We had perfect weather. I got to meet new members. The park was beautiful (didn't even have to pay for parking). Then we had a great run.

Like I told Chris, I never realized that Washington had such cool roads.

It was more like the Twistrict of Columbia.

We really do need to find out what's in that bunker next to the river. Too small for a missile silo....

I really love the name "Twistrict of Columbia", really...really...catchy.

Shhh...... I heard that someone is secretly organizing an "After-hours" run around that area ............... Oops, it's a secret, don't tell anyone.

Darn! Missed more fun. Things will clear up for Bev and I after the picnic. Then we won't have anymore excusses.

Wish I could've stayed longer and I definitely would've done the run through the Twistrict. Add this one to my list of re- runs I'll have to do.

Thats the Tidal Basin. They do hydrodynamic testing for the navy and such for subs and ships. Something like 600,000,000 gallons of water in there.

You're thinking of the David Taylor Research Center (DTRC). I actually worked there back in the late 80's, for a company that did hydrodynamic testing for the Seawolf program.

I'm thinking about the building we were standing on at the river.
