Hi, W3IWI. I was wondering if you could offer any tips on how to mount a radio in a Mini's console area, below the switch panel. There doesn't seem to be any mounting points at all. Did you have to make holes in the plastic pylon covers? Or did you remove them somehow?

Thanks a lot,

I mounted a radio under there... Just screwed up from below and used some washers on the inside. It holds just fine (5-6 months now, I think)

I didn't spring for the full repeated setup. I've just got a single head transmitter/receiver.

The radio was a hit on my December club drive, though. Even the far back of the caravan heard me (20 cars or so, well spaced out for country twisty driving) and once the second drive group (7-10 miles away) heard me when I was at the top of a large hill.
