This may be a busy weekend for my MINI! I'd like to make this event and get the car all spiffed up, I also need to put my Performance wheels back on and do a few other minor Dragon prep things. Anyone got a torque wrench that goes to 100 ft/lbs.?

Yep, got the torque wrench, floor jack and air tools to make the job easy. You can swap out the wheels while the others are getting started washing their cars

My dropper radar and my satellite are still down. I will have the weather report as soon as it back on line.

I would like to come as GyPsy would benefit from a nice wash (haven't got one since Oct.) and I never used Zaino.. so I could use some advise from the expert..
Ed, what time do you have in mind?

As much as I would like to (and need to) join you, I don't think I can. My martial arts instructor doesn't like people missing too many demo team practices, which are on saturday. and theres the run after the breakfast at tate, which i have to attend. especially since its so close. but i may not even be able to go to that. i hate uncertain schedules.

anyway, the point of this whole pointless rant is, i hope that you can share at least a few secrets next time we meet. probably the 6th. i really need some help getting into the detailing aspect of things. i look forward to (hopefully) talking to you about shine and stuff.

Hi Ed,

I just read this thread , darnit! I see that you are booked up, but if someone drops out, please add me to your waiting list! I think it might rain Saturday, though. Will you still be having it?

Christine

FYI I have been using Zaino products (I actually have driven to Jackson NJ and picked them up from Sal) since Summer of 1997. My 1996 ImpalaSS "Maxi" has near perfect paint, including the bumpers which are prone to fading. Zaino is a great hand application product! Their clay is the best I have ever used.

Pic of Maxi is now in my gallery!

One more slot is open.

I will be there as an observer (still with noodle), not doing Zaino this time, since my MINI won't be ready from the secret project.

Updated list

As of now, we have the following folks confirmed:

GreenCactus
JustJay
Christian MD
ccc777
lastrega
Scavenger

Registration is now closed... we have a full schedule. I'll post later about the weather.

We may have to do this in shifts, the first one starting at 10am, and the second at 11:30. Depends on the weather and the number of folks who confirm.

The weather is still a variable. We can still do this if it's just misting, but a downpour will make it impossible. I'll make a decision by tomorrow evening and will let you all know at that time.

Ed, please PM me your address. Since I'm not Member Liaison anymore, I can't look it up..it looks like we're abandoning bathroom painting this weekend as the chief painter has his 1st SCCA race this weekend...
So, lucky you, I'll be stopping by to watch the activities. Please let me know what I can bring..

Based on the weather I might bring one of the other MINIs from the Scuderia instead of GyPsy, her tires are not for rain and cold weather particulary when they are in their current super used conditions. Don't know if I will do Zaino or not, does it make a difference?

I can bring breakfast food (coffee cake, OJ, teas) need to check if I have paper plates as my Annapolis kitchen is under renovation - If you prefer for me to bring something else ring me by Friday afternoon.

Wonderful! Bring whichever car you'd like
As far as food, feel free to do what you'd like. I'd prefer not to get too involved in orchestrating that aspect of the day.

I'll announce this evening whether we're on or postponed due to the weather.
