Thanks; the major highway i take to work shouldn't be that bad (since the crews try to clean those off). I'm more concerned about having to run around an icy parking lot in the freezing rain/snow tomorrow to get people's cars for them. (The joys of being a porter i guess)

Lucky for me the roads should be in good shape @ 0430, unlucky for me I'm responsible for ensuring snow removal gets done at work

 

Wensleydale is safe as bugger in a rugger, she's not movin anywhere ! I'm working from home tomorrow since my computer at work croaked, I can handle the days duties in my PJ's

They let us work from home today.... so, no danger to Ms. Brahms, get to stay at home, and do not have to take a day off !

Now... back to my Pizza and Guinness

 

I heading to old town Alexandria to pick up the "Zune" from z3bum.

Not gonna take Maxi though.

 

I teleworked till about 10 then came in to 'put in a appearance'. Only about 1/3 are here. I plan to bug out again before the next wave of rain hits. From Mt Vernon to Crystal City roads were just wet including bridges. And by then traffic was light enough to be able to take it easy without being pushed.

MINI's at home safely tucked away in the garage.

 

My long commute of 1 mile was actually quite pleasant today. in fact I extended my commute to be 6 miles because I fancied a drive. Roads were very empty around falls church.

Plus, I love my new car!

 

Seems kiddies got a nice free day from school today! I can't believe they were all closed! My drive home in the "worst" of the conditions, I had an easy time! I will never understand the people who makes these decisions!

 

I used today's weather to stay firmly at home. Dora's safely in her parking space too (underground/building garage). We might head out tomorrow though.

Back to telecommuting....

 

Otto and I made the 5 minute commute to work and home without incident.

Walking across slushy lawns and climbing icy steps was no fun though.

Neither rain, nor snow, yada, yada, yada.

 

Wasn't bad AT ALL...the roads were just wet. All the ice in the parking lot had actually melted by the afternoon. Still not sure why my brother's flight got canceled coming into Dulles today.
